Brief Objectives of the Course: The objectives of this course are to equip students with
comprehensive knowledge and practical skills to improve their ability in managing the
human resources in their organizations.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, the student will understand and be able to –
1. Discuss why human resources can be a core competency for organizations.
2. Identify the steps involved in the human resource planning process
3. Effectively recruit and interview job candidates.
4. Identify training requirements and the different methodologies used in Employee
training and development
5. Discuss the different techniques used in Performance and Compensation
Management , and develop, evaluate and administer performance appraisal tools.
6. Appreciate the need for various safety, health and welfare needs of employees
