Ihram
Before assuming ihram take a bath and use perfume on the body. (Muslim)

Assume ihram on reaching the miqat. (Muslim)

Use a white sheet as a lower body cover. (Musnad Ahmed)

Cover both the shoulders with another white sheet. (Musnad Ahmed)

Women should do the intention of ihram in their normal clothing. (Bukhari)

Talbiya
After assuming ihram recite talbiya three times in a loud voice. Women should recite talbiya in a low voice.

Keep reciting talbiya during your journey as mush as possible.
Tawaf
Before beginning tawaf adjust the shoulder sheet by bringing the right end of it from below the right shoulder and
on to the left shoulder i.e. assume the state of istabah. (Abu Dawood)
Begin tawaf by doing istalam of the black stone. (Tirmizi)
Kiss the black stone or touch with your hand and kiss the hand or merely point towards it. (Bukhari)
While doing istalam recite

Do istalam of the black stone at every round of tawaf. (Bukhari)

Do ramal (walk fast) in the first three rounds of tawaf and walk at a normal pace in the rest of the four rounds of

tawaf (For Men) (Tirmizi)

No Ramal for women , they should walk at a normal pace. (Bukhari)

Touch the Yemenite Corner (Rukn -e - Yamine) but do not kiss it. (Ibn Khazeena)

If touching is not possible, just pass by it without pointing tawards it. (Ibn Khazeena)

Duas of Tawaf
Following dua to be recited between the black stone and Yemenite Corner

(Abu Dawood) !6nâ<µ …ô^ß$Ö] hø]„øÂø ^ßøÎô æ$ è÷ßøŠøuø éô †ø ìôŸ? û] oÊô æ$ è÷ßøŠøuø ^nø Þû‚% Ö] oÊô ^ßøiô ' ^ßøe$…ø
Recite any other memorized Quranic or masnoon duas in the rest of tawaf.

Perform tawaf from outside Hateem.

Finish Tawaf
For one tawaf perform seven complete rounds. (Tirmizi)

Finish Istabah
Now finish istabah i.e. cover the right shoulder as well.

Two Rakah Namaz

After completing seven rounds of tawaf recite.

While reciting the above mentioned verse, move towards Muqame ibraheem and perform two rakat namaz wajib of

tawaf

Its masnoon to recite in the first rakah.

And in the second rakah.

Zam Zam
Face the Qibla say (in the name of Allah ) and drink the water of zam zam with the right hand reciting any dua such

as

(Tirmizi) "ðõ ]Fø Øùô Òö àûÚô ð÷ ^Ëøôæø ^Ã÷ ‰ô]æø ^Î÷‡û …ô æø ÷¡f$ÏøjøÚö ÷¡ÛøÂø æø ^Ã÷ Êô ^Þø ^Û÷×ûÂô Ôø ×öòø‰û]ø oûÞôù]ô Ü$ ãö ×# Ö]ø"
Allah indeed I ask you for beneficial knowledge and plentiful provision and cure for every

disease.

After drinking Zam Zam its masnoon to sprinkle some of it on the head. (Ahmed)

Sa'y :
After drinking Zam Zam do the istalam of the Black Stone and move towards Mount As Safa for Sa'y. (Ahmed)

While climbing Mount As Safa recite the following verse. (2 : 158)

Starting Sa'y from As Safa, move to Al Marwa and repeat the verses mentioned in step 10. (Muslim)

Men should walk fast between the Green Pillars. (Shafi)

During Sa'y recite any memorized Quranic or masnoon duas. (Ibne Khazeema)

Count one round from As Safa to Al Marwa, likewise complete seven rounds. (Ibne Khazeema)

Halaq or Qasar
After Sa'y men should get their head hair shaved or cut short. (Bukhari)

Women should get their hair cut , equal to a finger's length. (Nasai)

² ‚ÛvÖ]Your Umrah is now complete . All the prohibitions of ihram are over.
You can now take off the ihram and wear your normal clothing.
