 CAUTION! Operating temperature limitations are as follows:

Buna General purpose, oil-resistant. Shows good solvent, oil, water and 190°F -10°F 50° to 140°F
hydraulic fluid resistance. Should not be used with highly polar solvents like 88°C -23°C 10°C to 60°C
acetone and MEK, ozone, chlorinated hydrocarbons and nitro hydrocarbons.

EPDM Shows very good water and chemical resistance. Has poor 212°F -10°F 50° to 212°F
resistance to oil and solvents, but is fair in ketones and alcohols. 100°C -23°C 10°C to 100°C

Neoprene All purpose. Resistant to vegetable oil. Generally not affected

by moderate chemicals, fats, greases and many oils and solvents. 170°F -10°F 50° to 130°F
Generally attacked by strong oxidizing acids, ketones, esters, nitro 77°C -23°C 10°C to 54°C
hydrocarbons and chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons.

Santoprene® Injection molded thermoplastic elastomer with no 212°F -10°F 50° to 212°F
fabric layer. Long mechanical flex life. Excellent abrasion resistance. 100°C -23°C 10°C to 100°C
Virgin PTFE Chemically inert, virtually impervious. Very few chemicals
are known to react chemically with PTFE: molten alkali metals, turbulent 212°F -35°F 50°F to 212°F
liquid or gaseous fluorine and a few fluoro-chemicals such as chlorine 100°C -37°C 10°C to 100°C
trifluoride or oxygen difluoride which readily liberate free fluorine at
elevated temperatures.

Viton® Shows good resistance to a wide range of oils and solvents;

especially all aliphatic, aromatic and halogenated hydrocarbons, 212°F +32°F 75°F to 212°F
acids, animal and vegetable oils. Hot water or hot aqueous solutions 100°C 0°C 24°C to 100°C
(over 70°F) will attack Viton®.
