NEC Business Network Solutions Acquires Network

Integration Division Of ENS
DALLAS - January 27, 1999 — NEC Business Network Solutions,
Inc. (BNS), a wholly owned subsidiary of NEC America, Inc., announces
its acquisition of the Network Integration (NI) division of Enterprise
Networking Systems, Inc. (ENS). BNS is exercising its option to
purchase the ENS NI division under the terms of an option granted by
ENS on December 17, 1997.

The ENS NI business will be operated as the BNS Network Integration

Group to provide advanced network integration solutions to corporate
and enterprise clients. Kevin C. Gormican, currently vice president of
ENS NI, will continue in this capacity as BNS Network Integration
Group vice president, reporting to BNS executive vice president David
M. Montanaro. BNS will continue to operate the current ENS NI sales
and services offices nationwide, which will work collaboratively with the
BNS Multiservices Networking Group. ENS will retain its Professional
Services division.

multiservice network solutions to large enterprises and national accounts
in the United States," said Thomas J. Burger, President and CEO of NEC
