Freshman Senator Ayotte (R-NH), will write a letter to Army Spouses in honor of Military Spouse
Appreciation Day. SEN Ayotte is a military spouse, whose husband served in Iraq and is currently a
member of the Air National Guard. I spoke with her MLA on Friday (25 FEB) and he thought the Senator
would be honored to do such a thing.

The Senate and House Congressional Military Family Caucuses will assist DoD in passing a Joint
Resolution of Congress honoring the sacrifices of Military Children during the Month of April. The
resolution language is currently being staffed within the Army and will go to OSD next for approval.

Additionally, the Senate and House Congressional Military Family Caucuses will sign a joint letter to
Army children for the month of April which will be posted on installation websites across the world.
ACSIM/IMCOM has drafted the letter and it has been passed to the Caucuses for signature.
