1. Reconstructing the King Legacy: Scholars and National Myths (an essay by
Clayborne Carson).
Yes, this is a good source for Martin Luther King & National Myths information. In
addition, this page was worth visiting. This source contains good relevant information
that pertains to the life of Dr. King. Similar information from this article can be found in
hyperlinks. The author of this article is also a Morehouse College Alum. As a Morehouse
man, Carson learned some of his knowledge directly through college archives of Martin
Luther King Jr. Dr. Carson dedicated his life to studying literature of Dr. King. He work
is targeted to undergraduates. He founded the Research and Education Institute at
Stanford University which was designed to examine literature of Dr. King. The

a journal.

2. The Martin Luther King You Don’t See on TV (by Jeff Cohen and Norman
Solomon)
This article is not necessarily a good source for the topic of Martin Luther King &
National Myths. This page was not really worth visiting. It really depends on the
prospective of the reader. The information on this site was rather shocking, and sparked
some controversy. However, the information was very interesting. The two journalist
were a little biased in there presentation of the information, but the information was
correct. This article was published January 15, 2011, and was designed for the web
because of its short nature.

3. The Forgotten Martin Luther King (Mumia Abu-Jamal)

This article is not a good source for this topic. It is heavily biased. Upon visiting the
website, there is a big read star. Immediately, the reader can assume that this article is
communist, because of the symbolism. This article appealed to communist readers.
Mumia Abu-Jamal has seemed quite a bit of reviews that denounce the articles he has
published. Therefore, this article would not be an ideal article to use in a paper. This
article was published on January 9. 2009, and because of its short nature it appears to be
an article that was written for the web.

4. Why Martin Luther King was Republican (Frances Rice)

This article is not a good source for this topic. As noted by the title of this article, a reader
may assume that this article is heavily biased. The article claims that Dr. King is a
republican, but it can be proven that he was a democrat. This article appeals to republican
readers. This article would not be a good article to use because it goes against many
people’s beliefs. Frances Rice has received quite a bit of controversy reviews about the
validity of his work. This article was published August 16, 2006 and it appears to be an
article written for the web.
