Brief Description -

o Project deals with end to end solutions of metering procedure. It mainly comprises in
two section- First data collection section and next data representation section. These
two parts work on request-reply protocol.
o Data collection unit provides functionality to establishing connection of base computer
to meter with almost every possible media i.e. via direct cable connection, via
Modem dialing. Secondly it performs reading of data from meter through various
customer specific protocols and in third step it interprets and converts data to usable
format.
o Finally data got stored in Database for further use by data representation unit.
o Data representation unit performs the tasks of real time monitoring, automatic bill
generation, scheduling and real time monitoring.
o It could be operated in completely automatic environment by scheduling for large
