Project Profile

Title : “Design and Analysis of 6-wheeler chassis”

Scope : The main objective of this work is to evaluate the static characteristics of a truck chassis
under different road conditions. Static analysis is carried out on four different models of the chassis with variations in
depth of longitudinal member or cross member or both. The chassis is modeled in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0 and
analyzed used ANSYS 9.0 Soft wares. The models are designed by changing the cross members cross section since
maximum load is absorbed by cross members. Analysis is done for actual running models and three other models have
been designed and analyzed and out of which one model is observed to be the best.
. Duration : 3-Months. Team Size : 5-Members.
