Due to their outstanding cleaning quality, the possibility of safe handling in the
SAFE-TAINER** system and modern plant technology, most users consider
chlorinated solvents to be excellent cleaning fluids, suitable for a wide range of
applications.

DOWCLENE* 1601 solvent achieves particularly good cleaning results and thus repre-
sents a good alternative. DOWCLENE 1601 combines hydrophilic and lipophilic cha-
racteristics in a single product and is suitable for difficult applications, e.g. cleaning
lapped parts and sintered metals. Closed cleaning equipment, designed in collabo-
ration with plant manufacturers, and the SAFE-TAINER system offer users safety for
the future.

The SAFE-TAINER system includes two different, specially designed double-walled

containers. One is exclusively designated for the supply of fresh solvent and the
other for the collection of used solvent. The SAFE-TAINER system enables you to
meet the legislative requirements and applies the principles of Responsible Care®
and Product Stewardship by taking into account all health and safety related issues
of a product throughout its lifecycle.
