India celebrated its 64th Independence Day this week
on 15th August. Patriotism and happiness was the spirit in Indians and our surroundings. The Prime Minister of India, Ms. Prathiba Patel, hoisted the Indian flag, at The Red Fort, New Delhi. Central and State level ministers also hoisted the Tricolor and showed their patriotism towards the nation. Indians at home were thrilled and excited about being free from the British rule and celebrated its 64th Birth Anniversary, in their own ways. The auspicious day marked its significance at very corner of India.
But, every individual was equally sad and tensed on
15th August. Why? Answer is evident and so is the fear. Terrorism at its Peak!
India became free from British slavery 64 years ago
but today, India and its citizens are suffering from an unknown enemy, which is, Terrorism. British were detectable enemies but Terrorists are our hidden enemies, today. This is a bigger Slavery and hence a major problem which needs serious and honest leaders, who can make strict guidelines to protect India and its people. Upto 2010, around 131 terrorist attacks were happened after 1947, in different parts of the country by major terrorist groups like Al- Quaida, Taliban, Lashkar -e-Taiba and so on. Lastly, India in the year 2008 has witnessed serious attack from Lashkar -e- Taiba, the Pakistan based military organization, which smashed innocent 166 lives and injured 308 innocents. Death travels on the head of every Indian today. Big and famous celebrities of our nation are becoming targets of the terrorists, example, Mr. Shahrukh Khan (Film Actor in Mumbai), Mr.Mammootty(Film Actor). No place is safe for humanity today. To be honest, no part of the world is safe for Life from terrorism.
Corrupt Politicians, Illiteracy, Poverty, Lack of
Education have crippled India, even after being Independent for 64 odd years. Indians have been fighting them with high spirits but Terrorism is something that cannot fight, individually. The nation and its leaders have to provide mental security to its citizens. The Indian Government showed strict vigilance and support to fight terrorism on 15th August. High-level security is being maintained at every Railway Station, Airport, Public places and national buildings and historical places, in India. It feels good to see the way Indian leaders provided security to India and Indians on 15th August. Such days are easy targets of Terrorists organizations. Their heinous crimes were put in vain this week. But the Government must not neglect this problem. Sluggishness does not work in this context because terrorist attacks are unpredictable.
Hence, when the entire nation was happily
celebrating their Independence, Indians everywhere were asking themselves, “Is India Truly Independent Even After 64 Years of Freedom?” .The answer is NO! We Indians live in a world of fear and threat today. No one knows when and where is the next terrorist event planned and going to happen, but they all wonder about it, daily, hourly. Indians today shout freedom slogans to remove terrorism, from every corner of India. The nation has to remove this fear, fight and slavery. India has, had great freedom fighters like Mahatama Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Chandra Shekhar Azad, Mangal Pandey, and so on. But where in India are such freedom fighters and leaders who will free the nation from Terrorism? Every Indian, ‘Rise and Think’
