Remains abreast with improvements in technology and standard practices. 2. Maintains, repair
and overhauls aircraft and components as per manufacturers'/ vendor manuals. 3. Reports to
Aircraft Engineer any abnormally or defect noted on aircraft/ components in the vicinity of his
areas of work. 4. Ensures that after completion of work all tools, rags, debris and spills are
removed from his area of work. 5. Draws parts, tools and ground equipment as may be required
to perform his function. 6. Adequately Blanks, tags and packs removed components and sub
assemblies. 7. Attends arrival and departure of aircraft to promptly rectify last moment snags
and service aircraft systems under the supervision of certifying Officer Engineering or Aircraft
Engineer. 8. Uses cleaners, assigned under him, for his support and when not directly required
by him uses to have other areas of the aircraft cleaned. 9. Accumulates a wide range of
experience in the area of his work. 10. Upon fulfilling requirements of eligibility may obtain
qualifications (Licenses and Approvals) of his area of work. 11. Report defects in ground
equipment, special tools, trestles and docks and suggest fabrication or changes to the same for
improved productivity and safety. 12. Maintains a Tool Kit with an adequate quality and quantity
of tools. Keep his tool kit in a neat and organized form and present for inspection to an Aircraft
Engineer upon demand. 13. Takes all safety precautions while undertaking his work (Fire
Fighting, electric shorting, inadvertent operation of systems etc.) to prevent loss or damage to
personnel or equipment. Reports need or shortage of the same to an Aircraft Engineer
