Special Character: Commander Swiftrain is a special character, and may not select additional
equipment from the armoury.
Special Rules:
One Fire Warrior team in the army may replace its Shas'Ui with this character.
- Veteran of the Second Sphere: The Fire Warrior team with Commander Swiftrain always
counts the unit it fires upon in the Shooting phase as having a markerlight counter that it alone
can expend.
- Always Prepared: Commander Swiftrain is renowned for making sure his men have the best
chance at survival. His Fire Warrior team is equipped with EMP and photon grenades for at no
extra cost.
- Shas Reinforcements: El'Torlan grants +1 BS to his Fire Warrior team.
Equipment: XV35 battlesuit, drone controller, two Shield Drones, Sonic Regulator
Special Rules:
Special Character: Commander Twinfang is a special character. She does not count towards the
Force Organisation Chart.
Special Rules:
- Supreme Pilot: O'D'kora commands her fleet from the command deck of the mighty Flame
Wind, directed her efforts from above. No model of Commander Twinfang is placed on the board,
and she is not counted towards Kill Points.
- Fury of the Angel: A force which includes Commander Twinfang must take any Air Caste
Bombardments as Fast Attack choices instead of Heavy Support.
- Kor Reinforcements: Commander Twinfang personally oversees the calculations for the
deployment of all drop-troops from her ship. Any unit attempting to deploy using the Deep Strike
special rules does not roll for scatter.
Special Character: Delegate Riversong is a special character. He does not count towards the
Force Organisation Chart.
Special Rules:
- Ambassador: Ui'Alaa'kin is constantly at work to stop the war effort and reach a peaceful
resolution with the opponent. No model of Delegate Riversong is placed on the board, and he is
not counted towards Kill Points.
- Negotiations: All enemy units fighting a force which includes Ui'Alaakin incur a -1 LD modifier
at all times.
- Por Reinforcements: Through subtle channels of influence either on the army itself or the
surrounding forces, Delegate Riversong can confuse the enemy's battleplan enough to give the
Tau forces a real advantage. Any enemy units rolling for reserve (including deep striking and
outflanking units) must reroll successful reserve roll dice.
