Members of the faculty must be encouraged to join serious Christian initiation or renewal
programs, or a continuing evangelical program must be designed for them. With the thought that a
Christian educator becomes an instrument for the Word to take flesh,|  , for Christ to be known to
many, this evangelical program may be guided by the prophecy of Isaiah: |,|| ,

|. With this program, an
educator must be kept reminded of the nobility of the vocation of teaching as it shall be a response to
the call for kingly, priestly, and prophetic mission in unity with our Lord Jesus Christ.

This thrust shall be in collaboration with the Institute of Religious Education and Philosophy.

The members of the teaching staff must take further studies, and become experts in the fields
or subjects they teach. The school shall try to open opportunities for study. Incentives, privileges, and
policies for those taking masters͛ and doctoral degrees must be carefully formulated and strictly
implemented.

The office must also work with the office of the Vice-President for Academic Affairs in
addressing the following, geared towards the development of the quality of instruction among the
faculty.

1.| Curriculum Evaluation

There is always a need for a comprehensive evaluation of the curricula to check their
effectiveness and relevance (considering the degree, time, and trends). Doing such evaluation also
requires benchmarking, comparing the school͛s curricula with other academic institutions here and
abroad.

2.| Resources and Instructional Materials

Evaluating the curricula shall inevitably mean also evaluating the resources and the instructional
materials used by the faculty. It shall necessarily lead to the evaluation of the effectiveness of teachers͛
strategies and methodologies.
 .| Seminar-Workshops

The office may provide seminars, lectures, trainings, or workshops; or coordinate with other
institutions offering such; or employ individuals whose practice and expertise may help the teaching
force of the school. The following may be some of the areas addressed in these seminar-workshops.

NOTE: Lectures among the members of the faculty shall also be encouraged.

4.| Peer Evaluation and Students͛ Evaluation

The office may also evaluate the present students͛ evaluation, reconsider its relevance or
significance, scope, manner of evaluation, and effectiveness.

Peer evaluation must also be considered.

To ensure and safeguard scholarship among members of the teaching staff, research and
creative work opportunities must be encouraged and opened. Incentives, privileges, and policies for
those conducting researches or creative work must be carefully formulated and strictly implemented.
The school may not only assist these faculty members, but also help in the publication of the results of
these researches or creative work.

Members of the faculty shall also be encouraged to provide extension services. This may also
lead to establishing linkages, and developing social concern and responsibility among them.

With the example of St. Joseph, also known as the Silent Worker, and guided by the teachings of
St. Josemaria Escriva and St. Therese of the Infant Jesus, all other employees of the institution must also
undergo a continuing spiritual formation. This program shall allow them to see the dignity and sanctity
of work, and shall show them their roles in the evangelical mandate of the academic institution.

This shall include coming up with an effective and efficient way of writing memoranda, and
other means of information dissemination. This shall also include determining the most effective and
efficient communication channels between and among various units, highly considering and respecting
the institutional organizational structure.

For staff development, seminar-workshops shall also be designed to address the various areas
that need improvement
