4. WASTE MANAGEMENT
i. Ensure that waste generated are properly segregated into the
colour and coded bins and disposed accordingly.
ii. Engines, pumpsets, gen. set, etc. should only be tested at the
test bay.
iii. The wash area around the workshops must be flushed with
water and kept tidy at all times.
iv. Oil /chemical spills or droplets must be cleaned immediately
v. All related waste e.g. scrapped metals, used oil, water,
electrolytes, Ashing chemicals, office waste etc. should be
evacuated as per schedule. See PMSWE waste evacuation
schedule.
vi. Ensure that the workshop floor and the environment are not
littered.
vii. Ensure that spills and other environment incidents are
reported.

Ensure that all waste streams in our operation are managed
in accordance with the waste management procedure.
viii. Always refers to SHOC cards when you are handling
/disposing of chemical waste and solvent etc.
ix. Report any potential threat to the environment to the HSE
adviser and act on instructions in accordance with HSE-MS
policy.
