Smithsonian Institution Archives | Web, New Media, & Outreach Coordinator | Washington, DC

May 2010August 2012: Created online content about the Archives collections with the web & new media team. Implemented and helped manage community outreach and crowdsourcing projects using historic collection images on platforms including the Flickr Commons and Historypin. Edited and managed the Archives blog, The Bigger Picture, and managed all social media. Developed original web metrics/outreach template to analyze and monitor web activity, using tools including Google Analytics, which was used as a model in pan-Smithsonian planning.

Founding assistant editor and writer for The Bigger Picture blog formulated blog strategy and best practices. The Photography Initiative merged with Smithsonian Institution Archives in 2010.
