of our camp programs were closed out last year.

CIT Program
Teens entering grade 10
(Sept. 2011)
The CIT program is an on-the-job training
experience for a select group of mature teens
who are interested in working with children.
Applicants must take part in the Orientation
and Training sessions in the spring as well as
the Staff Training Institute prior to the
opening of camp. CIT’s could be placed in
a group (in either Camp Wonderland or
Junior Camp) or a specialty area. There will
be on-going training throughout the summer
as well as special trips. Teens interested in
applying should call 631-462-9800 ext. 127
for an application and interview. The deadline
to apply is March 1, 2011.
The CIT camp is $1600 and is only available for
the entire 8 week camp season. Y Family or
Single Parent Membership is required. Building
Fund and membership must be valid through

Lights, Camera, Action! Each day is filled with
swimming in the Y ‘s indoor pool, free choice
theater electives, and rehearsal for the
Broadway-style show. Everyone performs,
but auditions are held to determine part
selection. Professional staff help each camper
develop skills in dancing, acting, singing, set
design, stage management and more. Each
session also includes a trip to see an equity
production show.

Working Parents
For children enrolled in Theatre Camp we are
offering an extended day – 8-10AM and 4-6PM
at the rate of $5.00 per hour. This must be pre-

gram combines all you love about camp at
the Suffolk Y JCC building with the excite-
ment of Junior Camp at the Henry Kaufmann
Campgrounds. Your children will spend 3
days (M, W, Th) at their registered camp
(either Camp Wonderland or Young
Adventures) and 2 days (T, F) at Junior Camp.
Campers will take an air conditioned bus to
the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds at 10:30
where they will participate in two daily
swims, lunch and 2 fabulous activities such
as archery, pioneering, sports, or mini golf as
well as our unique Friday Oneg celebrations.
Then they will take a bus back to the Y build-
ing on the Shuttle and return at approximate-
