Dear ___________________,

Shalom!

It is almost 25 years ago when in 1985, I, together with

my 8 classmates went for a “graduation retreat.” This took
place along the shores of Pasuquin up north at the La Verna
Hermitage. There were Franciscan Friars then living in that
place.

Those three days in 1985 marked an important aspect

of my life: I experienced God who was so close and personal
to us: through persons, nature, and the retreat companion
Fra. Malachi Brogan, OFM of happy memory. I don’t
remember much of the talks and conferences. But I do
remember the moments of PRAYER and ENCOUNTER WITH
GOD.

Those days were not only days of “full moon” that

enlightened the mountains and the vast ocean facing the
hermitage: those days were “full of God’s love, light and
life” as I have written then in my journal.

For two days, we will journey together along the same

shores, not so much the shores of Pasuquin, in as much as the
shores of life towards the fullness of “God’s LOVE, LIGHT AND
LIFE.”

And God asks for openness, cooperation and listening

to Him.

Only then can we journey together…
