Course Description: This course explores the dynamic environment

of international business, a multi-disciplinary subject that draws from
international economics (balance of trade, balance of payments),
politics, institutions, culture and technology, as well as insight into the
mechanics of international trade and investment, the international
financial system and business management in the global marketplace.
Course Requirements: This course has seven major components:
1) Required: weekly textbook readings;

2) Required: weekly review of Chapter Objectives;
3) Required: weekly review of PowerPoint slides;
4) Required: weekly review of chapter summaries;
5) Required: Quizzes designed to prepare you for exams (Graded);
6) Required: Discussion Question Responses (CASES) (Graded);
7) Required: Four exams to be taken online (Graded).
Grading Scale:
90-100% A
80-89% B
70-79% C
60-69% D
Below 60% F
Methods of Evaluation:
4 Exams (15% each) = 60% of Grade.

Case Study Discussion Participation = 20% of Grade.
Quizzes = 20% of Grade.

Description of Methods of Evaluation
Exams:
There will be four (4) exams, each valued at 15% of your final grade.
Exams are comprised of multiple choice questions and will be taken
online. IMPORTANT: You will have ninety (90) minutes to complete
each exam. ONCE YOU BEGIN THE EXAM YOU CANNOT STOP
AND START OVER AGAIN!
Case Study Discussions:
There will be twelve (12) opportunities for Case Discussion Responses

during the course. The top ten (10) scores on Case Discussion
Responses will be counted to calculate this portion of your final grade.
Quizzes:
A quiz will be assigned for each chapter. Quizzes can be taken up to

two (2) times. The highest score for each quiz will be counted towards
your grade. Quizzes are comprised of twenty (20) multiple choice
questions. IMPORTANT: You will have one hour (60 Minutes) to
complete each quiz. ONCE YOU BEGIN THE QUIZ YOU CANNOT
STOP AND START OVER AGAIN!
