prepare accurate and useful gas BHP/z vs cumulative production analysis. This program designed for to function
all versions of Excel 97 thru 2007, but certain features are not available in the earlier versions.

2. Features: a. No menus, just control buttons on the form.

b. The template will accept up to 400 data points.
c. Installation on laptops and personal PC's is very simple. (See InstallGuide, if assistance needed)
d. Most items are in color, but prints satisfactorily in black and white. (See notes below)
e. The template can inserted in you current workbook or as a new workbook.
f. Wet Gas Gravity Calculator (Always use reservoir gas gravity, not separator gravity)
g. Print Options button is provided to facilitate selection, and must be used to insure proper labeling
and correct print formatting.

3. Starting the Program: After installation, Start Excel.

Excel 2003 or earlier: Click the "Tools" (or 6th) menu and place your mouse cursor over the menu item
"RSC Engineering", as indicated in the Figure 1 below.

Excel 2007: Select the "Add-ins" tab on the ribbon, and click the "RSC Engineering" menu, as indicated in
Figure 2 below.

This will cause display of the available programs installed on the user's local PC. Selecting Normal P/z vs Cum
will start the program and open a new worksheet. (If the menu "RSC Engineering" is not present, an
installation error has occurred.)

a. All Templates (.xlt) and Add-in (.xla) files are password protected and may
not be modified, by design. Worksheet and Add-in Module passwords are
proprietary.

4. After starting the procedure, the user will be prompted to indicate whether to insert the template form in the
current workbook, as indicated in the dialogue below:

Answers: "Yes" - Form will be inserted in the active workbook, after the active worksheet.
(Please note that inserting the Normal P/z vs Cum template in the active workbook
may modify that workbook's color scheme, which may effect other existing sheets.)
"No" - Form will be opened in a new workbook (Default, Recommended Selection).
"Cancel" - abort the sheet opening.

Note: Generally, a user should not insert more than one sheet in a particular file,
if desired. However, copying sheets from one workbook to another may not
function as desired. (Call Microsoft with complaints about this one!)

5. When your P/z vs Cum form opens you will see the image below. The descriptions of the Control Buttons are
indicated below also. Note: the control buttons, "alphanumeric" descriptor, and caution above the data
input section do not print when you print the form.

6. Input data is described on the template; however, all items below the property description must be completed.
At least two pressure-cum data points must be entered in order to calculate OGIP or EUR. The user can input
SITP, BHP, or BHP/z in the appropriate columns. BHP, z, and BHP/z will be calculated automatically when SITP
is entered; z, and BHP/z will be calculated automatically when BHP is entered. In every case, the user may
override calculated values by simply entering the desired value.

Note concerning Cumulative Production Units: Cumulative Gas Production is expected to be

input in MMcf (million standard cubic feet), as labeled on the template; however, in the case of very
small or very large reservoirs this can be inconvenient. Any consistent units of gas production may
be entered including, for example, Mcf, Bcf, and even metric units. Users should be aware that all
volume results and output, whether tabular or graphical, will be espressed in the same units as the
cumulative production input, regardless of the unit labeling.

7. The column "LSMF Include?(Y/N)" allows the user to include ("Y") or exclude ("N") a data point from the OGIP
calculation. Entering at least two data points, including cumulative production, will cause the OGIP to calculate
automatically. Note: At any time, the user can click the "Show Graph/Hide Graph" toggle button to display and/or
hide the graphical results. At any time a user elects to add data points or to change the selected or excluded data
points from the OGIP calculation, re-calculation of OGIP occurs simultaneously, a feature implemented in 2003.

8. Once the OGIP has been determined, the user may optionally elect to calculate the Estimated Ultimate
Recovery (EUR) by clicking the "Calc EUR" button. A dialog box provides the user with the options of selecting and
entering one of the following: Recovery Factor, BHP/z @ Abandonment or Abandonment BHP. After entering the
corresponding value, the EUR is calculated and the digital and graphical results will be displayed. This sequence
of actions can also be repeated as many times as necessary until the final results are obtained.

9. Printing: It is recommended that when a user desires to print the current template, he or she should click the
"Print Options" button rather than use the conventional Excel print routine. Doing so insures that the sheet will
be properly formatted to print the desired results. Forms: At any time, a user desiring a new template form may
click the "New Form" button to either insert the form in the current or a new workbook.

10. A completed, functioning example can be found in tab two ("NormalPz") in this workbook.
