INTRODUCTION TO THE STUDY

In the new millennium the concept of

business is changing fast, Marketing is not
exception, more so retail marketing is very old.
Starting from remote village to big cities retail
shops are present in nook and corners. But
these provide services to limited class of people
and depending of finances. They provide
limited services.
Today, we are living in a world where due
to advanced technology the world has become
small. New concepts are spreading fast. The
retail marketing is also influenced by this.
Previously the customer has to move from shop
to shop to get his daily needs; these needs also
have increased so the businessman started
making all these needs available under one
roof. These are called super market or super
bazaar.
Bijapur city is fast growing with new
generation taking up different challenges and
tasks. New government and other private
chains themselves are often supplied from
the distribution centers of a larger business.

MARKETING

The scope of marketing is seen as the task

of creating, promoting and delivering goods
and services to customers. Marketing is the
process of planning and executing the
conception, pricing, promotion and
distributions of goods and services to create
exchanges that satisfy individual customer.
As said, the firm is in market since a long
period it is well known to the people. Most of it
promotion is done by the positive word of
mouth, advertisement in local cable and print
media at the initial stage of super bazaar. Also
there was a lottery system made to attract
customers by giving exciting prizes. Even they
have kept lesser prices than MRP of some
products. They are giving all type of products,
which will attract the customers.
SUGGESTIONS :

• There are some suggestions from

customers.
• To the shop about the different segments
and their display. It is difficult to search
for what they want.
• They want to see more varieties in
segments like vegetable, cosmetics,
stationery and many more.
• The firm should increase local newspaper
ads and local TV ads, to create awareness
about the shop in the city.
RECOMMENDATION AND CONCLUSION :

• The shop must effectively apply the concept

of Customer Relationship Management
(CRM), because any customer again in this
segment is regarded as life time customer.
• The employees should act as a guiding
force and help customers in shopping at
SKYMALL.
• The shop should give special to market at
festival times, which is peak purchase
time.
• Employees should be well trained and act
friendly, so that the customers feel
delighted while shopping. They must try
to create friendly and healthy environment.
