Contains Datamonitor Industry Profiles for a number of countries on the topic of Real Estate Management and the
Development Industry. Also contains a number of industry publications such as Retail Real Estate Business
Conditions, Commercial Property News and National Real Estate Investor.
Factiva
An excellent source of Business, News and trade publications, some of the relevant titles covered by Factiva
include: Commercial real Estate, DTZ Asia Property Market Update, Estates Gazette and Real Estate Issues.

The Corporation of London produces a range of surveys and reports, some of which look at the property market in

Estates Gazette
Weekly publication, principally for the commercial property market although does have occasional features on the
Residential market. Please note full text content is available online for the London Business School Community
through the Factiva database.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. (A US Government Agency) produces a twice yearly Survey of Real Estate

Housing Finance
A UK journal produced by the Council of Mortgage Lenders. Articles and statistics covering a wide range of issues
relating to the UK Housing market, mortgages etc.. However it also occasionally includes articles looking at the
housing market in other countries – for example the Irish, Japanese and US housing markets have all been looked
at.

Some of the Commercial Real Estate companies have some great research on their websites, some of which is
available free of charge for example try CB Richard Ellis http://www.cbre.com/Global/Research/ for research on
commercial property rents worldwide and vacancy reports. You will need to register with the site to get to some of
the research reports. Or try International Property consultants King Sturge http://www.kingsturge.com/research/ for
a wide range of reports and statistics. Again you will need to register to access some content.
For information on vacancy and rental rates in the US office, retail and industrial markets try Grubb-Ellis’s quarterly
trend reports. http://www.grubb-ellis.com/research/ This web-page also links to a 2007 Global real estate forecast
report.
The website of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister has links to statistics on many aspects of the UK housing

statistics on this industry.
Investment Property Forum http://www.ipf.org.uk calls itself ‘the influential and reforming force for anyone with an
interest in commercial property’. It is a non-profit making organisation. It’s Research and Publications area includes
a summary report on Risk Management Research Phase II
‘Despite recent advances, the concept of ' portfolio risk management'is much less well developed in property than it
is in other investment asset classes. Phase 2 of the IPF' s risk research investigates the methods of measuring,
managing and controlling risk in property investment portfolios.’ ’
Try articles from Commercial Investment Real Estate magazine http://www.ciremagazine.com/ for information on
real estate investment in the US. Produced by the CCIM Institute (CCIM= Certified Commercial Investment
Member). It has a searchable archive of articles back to 1994.
The Property Investor News (see website http://www.property-investor-news.com ) is a magazine aimed at people
looking to invest privately in the residential real estate markets of the UK and Europe.
