Article Finder ***a key research tool*** Availability: Global
A meta index to all of the London Business School Library’s journal holdings. Search to find out if we have
the electronic full text of a given journal title. If you have a full reference, link straight through to the article
you require (if it is available.) It also indicates if the Library has hard copy, useful if recent issues of a journal
are embargoed by the publisher.

BestofBizGold Availability: Global

BestofBizGold is the premium site for BestofBiz and is accessible to staff and students via the Portal.
It covers best practice and management theory, current awareness and business research topics. Use it to
find: a synopsis of the work and impact of a management guru; summaries of major business books;
roundups of research from the business schools; concise articles on topical management issues; guides on
specific areas of business research; definitions of financial calculations in the Finance Action List section.

BizEd Public website

This is an information gateway for students and educators on business, economics and related subjects.
It has some resources aimed at MBA students.

Blackwell Encyclopedic Dictionaries Library Reference Collection

Arranged in 5 volumes to cover major management topics. The format is of long articles plus bibliography.
Published in 1997, they are kept in the library’s reference collection. Check the library catalogue for the
location of individual volumes.

Business Dictionary Availability: Global

Online dictionary of management terms. Brief definitions with links to further information.

Business Source Complete Availability: Global

Business Source Premier (BSC) provides full text articles for some 4149 academic and business journals,
covering management, economics, finance, accounting and international business. It includes exclusive
current and archived pdf content for Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, McKinsey
Quarterly, California Management Review and over 750 peer-reviewed titles.

CEPR Working Papers Availability: Global

Discussion papers from the Centre for Economic Policy Research. Abstracts and selected full text available.
Searchable by keyword.
Credo Reference Availability: Global
An electronic reference library covering some 100 searchable and browsable reference books from a
collection of leading publishers.

ECCH (European Case Clearing House) Public website

Contains the details of over 14000 cases from leading business schools, including some written by London
Business School Faculty. Search by keyword, author, title, institution or date. Sample cases may be
purchased.

EconLit Availability: Global

Covers articles from economics journals, books and working papers. For journal articles there are indexes
from 1969 and abstracts from 1987. It now offers links to full text articles if they are available on other
services subscribed to by the Library.

Econ Papers Public website

Provides access to 150,000 plus working papers from 47 countries. Searchable by author and keyword. This
database is part of the RePEC system for research papers in economics.

Covers working papers from worldwide institutions arranged in 22 subject categories according to date.

Encyclopaedia Britannica Availability: Global

Covers 100,000 articles and 200,000 web links. Text is fully searchable, or searching can be carried out in 5
databases.

Factiva Availability: Global

A global news service, covering key newspapers and business magazines as well as trade publications and
academic journal titles. It is updated daily and has a 22 year archive. Use it to supplement Business Source
Premier and ProQuest Direct which have stronger coverage of academic management literature.

FinanceJournals.com Availability: Campus only

Contains the tables of contents of 96 journals associated with finance. Contains survey and review articles.
You can search by author and by keyword in title.

getAbstract Availability: Global

A service e providing abstracts of recent business books. You can browse or search the titles covered and
detailed abstracts are sent by email. It also offers an evaluation rating score.

Google Scholar Availability: Global

Enables you to search specifically for scholarly literature, including peer-reviewed papers, theses, books,
preprints, abstracts and technical reports from all broad areas of research. Use Google Scholar to find
articles from a wide variety of academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories and
universities, as well as scholarly articles available across the web. It offers links to full text articles if they are
available on services subscribed to by the library.

Index to Theses Availability: Global

An Index of theses for higher degrees accepted at the Universities of Great Britain and Ireland since 1716
with abstract for those from 1971.

International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS) Availability: Campus only

Covers 2400 journals and 7000 books each year. There are indexes from 1980 and abstracts from 1997.
Search by keyword, author, journal title and subject terms. NB This database does not provide full text.
JSTOR Availability: Global
An archive of academic journals with many titles available back to the first issue. You can search the whole
database or select certain disciplines or select specific titles. Articles are available in full text pdf format.
N.B. On this database most publishers do not allow the last few years of the journal to be made available.

Library Catalogue Availability: Global

Records all books, working papers, videos, PhD theses, student reports, journal titles and e-book titles held
by the London Business School Library. For some books brief abstracts are available. On campus there are
working links to the full text of e-books. Can also be used to renew items currently on loan to you, and to
request items not held by the library.

Links to Working Papers in Business Public website

Compiled by the Library at the Olin School of Business (Washington University in St. Louis). Provides links to
business working papers produced by international business school. Nearly 50 different series of
management working papers are listed with an indication of their electronic availability. (It also lists working
papers in other business areas such as: marketing, finance, technology and others.

NBER Availability: Campus only

Working papers from the National Bureau of Economic Research. Most available in full text, going back as
far as the early 1980s. Available electronically via the Portal and our print holdings can also be found on the
Library catalogue. Printed copies held for 4 years only, they may be borrowed.

NetLibrary Availability: Global

NetLibrary provides access to electronic versions of printed books. It offers over 200 different titles. Many of
these are electronic versions of titles that the library holds in print, but some are only available electronically.

Oxford Reference Availability: Global

Provides online access to major reference works published by Oxford U.P. including bilingual dictionaries,
subject dictionaries and general reference works. There is a group of 6 items on economics and business.

ProQuest Direct ABI Availability: Global

Covers a wide range of business and management journals. Full text is offered for around 1000 journal titles,
with abstracts and reference details for a further 600 titles.

PsycARTICLES Availability: Global

Full text articles from 1988 onwards for the 42 journal titles published by the American Psychological
Association.

PsycINFO Availability: Global

Citations / summaries of journal articles, book chapters and technical reports in the field of psychology and
psychological aspects of related disciplines such as medicine, education, business and law. Journal citations
from 1887 onwards. It now offers links to full text articles if they are available on other services subscribed to
by the library.

Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection Availability Global

A full text database containing articles from 575 publications of which 550 are peer-reviewed. Full text goes
back to 1965. Nearly all the fill-text publications in this database are indexed in PsychINFO.

Science Direct Availability: Global

Full text journal articles for over 1100 titles published by Elsevier, including a number of key business,
management and accounting titles. The database provides a long archive.

Web of Knowledge Availability: Global
Web of Knowledge provides access to the Web of Science citation index databases for science, social
sciences, arts and humanities from 1980 onwards. These indexes cover more than 7500 journals, some
going back to 1980. It now offers links to full text articles if they are available on other services subscribed to
by the library.

London Business School Students may use the library subscribed electronic database for personal
educational research purposes only, and must comply at all times with the database copyright
holders’ terms and conditions. Use for any other purposes, such as commercial activity, consultancy
