Energy is one of the sectors covered by this database. It provides comprehensive market reports, which are
categorised by the following sub-divisions: eEnergy, Green Energy, Power and Strategy. Some reports relate to a
specific geographic region, others are global reports.
The database offers a range of options for downloading or viewing the reports, for example tables from reports can
be downloaded to Word or Excel, and reports can be machine-translated into a number of different languages.

News, statistics and industry reports for the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China). Please note
Datamonitor Reports are sometimes listed but these are not included in the subscription and as a premium service
must be purchased.

Primarily UK market reports – has several on energy topics, but also has a European report on the renewable
energy industry.

Contains economic data such as energy production figures and Consumer price index information. Also has

EIU Market Indicators and Forecasts


Consumption and production statistics for oil, gas and coal, refinery capacity and nuclear electricity power
generation statistics for countries around the world.

Commodity prices for several countries, also values for utilities sector indices.

Consumption data, consumer expenditure on energy and for some countries market reports.

Factiva comprises some 8,000 sources in 22 languages from 118 countries, including a large number of trade
publications and news wires from the energy industries. Use the Intelligent Indexing Select a Source by Category in
order to include all energy industry sources in your search.

Proquest ABI
Not just a database of management theory, PQD covers a large number of trade press sources which contain
vital commentary on markets and products, including a wide range of energy topics. Use the subject list to look up
the words and phrases used as indexing terms for both industries and concepts.

Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (UK Government )
The DBERR website has a large amount of information on energy production and supply, including a link to a 218

This government department brings together the former Department for Trade and Industry (DTI), and the Better
Regulation Executive, which was part of the Cabinet office.
