THE CHRISTMAS SEASON
According to our official Church Calendar, the

the Lord. At 6:00 pm in our Church on Jerome
Avenue, volunteers are needed to help remove the
Christmas decorations.
LITURGY COMMITTEE
Meets approximately four times a year under the capable
leadership of Dorothy Zissler, Chairperson. The Committee,
composed of representatives from the Decorating Sub-
Committee, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion,
Greeters/Ushers, Lector, Music Ministry, plan for the Liturgical
seasons and special worship events here in the Parish.
We are seeking out interested parishioners who would
like to join the Committee. No expertise, other than
some time and willingness to help us make our events
run smoothly and with reverence, is needed. Please
speak with Sister Catherine or Father Aufieri or leave

Holy Rosary School resumes classes on Monday,
January 3, 2011.
Mid-Term examinations for grades 5-8 will be
given during the week of January 10th thru 14th.
Holy Rosary’s Home School Association will be
holding its first meeting of the New Year on Thursday,

annual bi-lingual celebration of the
Patroness of the Americas on December

Archdiocesan Vicar General, the
celebrant and homilist, blessed the icon
of our Lady and enthroned it in the
Hospitality Room. Thank you to Maria
and Joseph Cavallo, who donated the
icon. Our sincerest appreciation to the
devoted members of our Guadalupe
Committee who prepared the Mass
from beginning to end, including music and
refreshments. We thank many of our local merchants
and parishioners who provided the food and drink. If
you would like to help prepare future Spanish-English
celebrations, please speak with Father Aufieri.

CONDITIONING
While our weather is now quite cold, it
wasn’t that long ago that our weather
was warm and our years old Rectory
central air-conditioning system would no
longer function. Thanks to Marianne,
Rosemary & Linda Sammarco, we were
able to purchase a new unit and pay for the necessary
electrical update. Over the past two years, the
Sammarco sisters have provided the funds for a number
of special projects that, without their help, our budget
would not have been able to cover.

the special Offering Envelopes, envelopes are available in
the Narthex and the Rectory. We rely especially on
