Sanofi-aventis Provides Training Program to 400 Pharmacy Students for


the Second Year in a Row to Improve the Skills of Future Pharmacists

I
n today’s aggressive contest for attracting scarce talented calibers,
having a big name in the market, participating in employment
fairs, posting job advertisement in the media or using the help of
recruitment agencies are critical but should not be the only solution.
The challenge is to reach those good candidates in their own world,
offer them support, get armed with all possible resources to show
them how the organization cares for their future and looking forward
for having them on board. That challenge was the nucleus for the
“Future Access” project led by Sanofi-aventis staff.
“Future Access” is an eight-week training program engaging 400
pharmacy students for the second year in a row to develop the skills
and knowledge of future pharmacists, allowing them to compete in the
employment market after they graduate and providing employment
opportunities for students with high potential.
This program comes as part of Sanofi-aventis’ belief in the importance
of its role in the continuous development of the pharmaceutical industry
in Egypt as well as providing social services to the community in which
it operates. We have provided this training program for the second
year in a row and this year is the first time it is provided to pharmacy
students in Cairo, western governorates, Assiut, Sohag, Alexandria
and Menya, which is part of the framework of providing for students
from all parts of Egypt.
The concept of providing pharmacy students with additional skills
before they graduate came as a result of the fierce competition in the
Egyptian labor market. This guarantees their success in the future
because of the experienced gained through this training program.
Sanofi-aventis is providing them with unique certificates in recognition
of the efforts made throughout the program, enabling them to face the
employment market.

The journey began with identifying the milestones of the project,


preparing training material and giving training sessions to Team
