W e have been told that there are time periods known as Aeons that last for two-
thousand years and that these "ages" are synchronized with the signs of the zodiac.
Other knowledgeable people suggest that the length of an Aeon is subjective or otherwise
not determined by a calendar.
For example, William Q. Judge tells us that, "… each race goes through the
various Ages for itself; hence the former races, both primary and sub-,
[have gone] through all the four periods from the Golden to the Black.
"It must follow from this, and such is the oldest teaching on the subject,
that at one and the same time races may be on the earth running each for
itself through one or other of the periods. Some might be in the Golden
Age and others in the Black. At present it is admitted that the Aryans are
in the Kali Age, but certain childlike races are not so. Within the present five thousand year
period we know that races have absolutely finished their Kali Yuga and gone out of
existence. This happened to that which ruled a part of the American continent [Inca, Maya,
Aztec, Olmec], and hence for them in particular their Kali Yuga must have begun earlier
than ours did."

Mister Judge was not speaking specifically about Aeons, but he was documenting the fact
that different "ages" come and go separately within different races or groups. Could it be
that this concept is also applicable to individuals ?
W e have also been told that there are attributes of certain Ancient Aegyptian deities
that define the characteristics of any given Aeon.
For example, Frater O.M. tells us that "... certain vast “stars” (or
aggregates of experience) may be described as gods. One of these is in
charge of the destinies of this planet for periods of 2,000 years.*
The moment of change from one period to another is technically called
THE EQUINOX OF THE GODS.

"In the history of the world, as far as we know accurately,

are three such Gods:
"Isis, the mother, when the Universe was conceived as simple
nourishment drawn directly from her; this period is marked by
matriarchal government.

"Next, beginning 500 B.C., Osiris, the father,

when the Universe was imagined
as catastrophic, love, death,
resurrection, as the method by
which experience was built up;
this corresponds to patriarchal systems.

"Now, Horus, the child, in which we come to

perceive events as a continual growth partaking in
its elements of both these methods, and not to be
overcome by circumstance. This present period involves
the recognition of the individual as the unit of
society."
Furthermore, Frater O.M.'s "transmitted" document,
Liber AL vel Legis, tells us that ...
"... an invisible house there standeth, and shall stand until the
fall of the Great Equinox; when Hrumachis shall arise and
the double-wanded one assume my throne and place.
Another prophet shall arise ... and blessing no longer be
poured to the Hawk-headed mystical Lord!"

"This prophecy, relating to centuries to come, does not concern the present
writer at the moment.
 "The Hierarchy of the Egyptians gives us this genealogy: Isis, Osiris,
Horus. Now the 'pagan' period is that of Isis; a pastoral, natural period of
simple magic. Next with Buddha, Christ, and others there came in the
Equinox of Osiris; when sorrow and death were the principal objects of
man's thought, and his magical formula is that of sacrifice.
"Now, with Mohammed perhaps as its forerunner, comes in the Equinox of
Horus, the young child who rises strong and conquering (with his twin
Harpocrates) to avenge Osiris, and bring on the age of strength and
splendour. His formula is not yet fully understood.

"Following him will arise the Equinox of Ma

[Ma'at], the Goddess of Justice, it may be a
hundred or ten thousand years from now; for
the Computation of Time is not here as There."

o the philosophers and the scientists and the magicians and the shamans and the yogis
ponder and debate amongst themselves and with others, saying many things that are
not exactly the same. Sometimes, the sayings even appear to be different. Here are
some of the sayings that are being said ...

"It is exactly two-thousand years! " announces an

anal-retentive bookkeeper.

"No! " cries out an obsessive-compulsive chronologist.

"It has been proven that a Grand Equinox occurs every 25,920 years.
Divided by twelve, the zodiacal grid, this allocates 2160 years to a
horoscopic sign and to an Aeon."

"Don't be silly, man," said the bipolar (manic phase), laughing hippie.
"Nothing in nature stops and starts all at once! There's this overlap thing, you
know. Like a transition period, where the two things are mixed up in each other.
Like maybe even being confused and saying "WTF" a lot ?
"Some guy said aeonic transition periods are a couple hundred years, I dunno !
... and neither do you. Not really."
 "Aleister wrote that the Osiris deal started in 500 BC
and that the Horus deal started in 1904
and that's 2400 years, more or less.
"But then there's always these preceding previews of
coming events. Like Osiris taking over Aegypt in 500
BC - just in time to see the whole country slide into
permanent, terminal decline.
Like Mohammed showing forth as a fierce, individualistic, human prototype for Horus -
about 1300 years before The Equinox of the Horus-god.
"Ha ! " said the crazy clown. "We mostly count the Osiris age starting with that crucifixion
in Jerusalem, which is 1900 years for old Asar, but if he makes it halfway through a two-
hundred year transition zone, that'd be 2000 years, which is a nice round figure that just
happens to coincide with … let's see … right about now!

"So what?

An AEO N refers to a life - a lifespan.

Sure, there's a correlation with

the four Aegyptians ...

Any kid is first attached to, and nourished by

his or her Mother.
Then the adolescent or young adult "grows up" and
emulates the characteristics of the Father.
In the middle years, a mature, self-reliant individual arises
to aggressively engage life and the process of living.
In old age, one abandons the quest for domination,
seeking harmony and balance - enacting justice.

Philosopher's Note
Many people refuse to abandon domination in their late 50's;
they purposely remain aggressive and potent in old age;
this leads to difficulties at the end;
for how can one depart in peace if one is not already equilibrated ?

Now if you wanted to apply those same four stages

to some other lifespan,
say that of a nation or a race,
even an entire civilization ...
well, that would be proper
and correct as well.

Everything is born, grows, flourishes and passes away.

How long is an Aeon ?

 The P recise Length of an Aeon has been Determined
but it varies according to the entity under consideration.
For example, the prototypical lifespan, the uninterrupted aeon, of a 21st
century, human being is nine cycles of nine years ( 9x9 = 81 ).
Of course, we all know that some people don't make it that far, while
others are, even now, looking back at their century mark.
You mean the number is precise ... but not fixed ?
Exactly !
The prototype, the archetype, is precisely synchronized with a
fixed number of cycles, composed of a fixed number of sub-cycles.
In later ages, engineers applied this principle as "planned obsolescence".

But the mundane, manifested expression of such an etheric blueprint becomes affected by
many other, contradictory and entangling, cycles - including that mysterious

 Okay, I'm a bit overloaded here.

Holographic Synchronicity

Holographic means that everything is reflected, in toto, in everything

else. I Am All in All, said the prophet Jahl.
Synchronicity means synchronized, related in a purposeful way in a
time-referenced sense. Meaningful Coincidence, said prophet Jung.
Holographic Synchronicity is a synchronized hologram where, in this
case, the same four-stage, archetypal. growth and equilibration
pattern is reflected throughout various expanded and condensed
levels of manifestation. Thus the lifetime of a universe is reflected in that of a solitary
bacterium for precisely ninety-three human minutes, more or less, depending on
circumstances and the presence of antibacterial soap.
An Aeon of a god is two thousand years, more or less, depending on circumstances and the
absence of large, rogue meteorites. About three-quarters of the way through any given
Aeon, more or less, the characteristics of that age begin to weaken and a foreshadowing
of the coming "new age" slowly awakens.
An outstanding example would be the [allegorical or actual] overthrowing of the Isis regime by
Ankh-af-na-khonsu in 500 BC and the subsequent instituting of Osiris, who did not really take
his Seat in the East and hold the reign and the reins of civilization until 500 years later.
Likewise, the [historically real] gradual breaking up of the European Dark Ages, around 1500 AD,
more or less, slowly replaced by individual freedoms that were accelerated by increased
communication networks coming in with the Equinox of Horus in 1904, for science and technology
then rapidly ushered in the reality of the Aeon of Horus. Individuals are not completely free yet,
but theoretically, there are many centuries left to run the course of individuation.
The hellish Tuat qualities of the Dark Ages marked the "high point" [ low point ? ] of the worldly
manifestation of the dark state of affairs associated with the patriarchal Osiris. But somehow
Osiris is getting blamed for something that is really not his responsibility.
Osiris was a good king. He taught the people to plant corn, effectively
ending the age of the hunter-gatherer and beginning the fixed-location,
agricultural era. But his brother Set was jealous and he killed Osiris.
With Osiris out of the way, safely tucked away in the Tuat, busy
performing the Last Judgement for all the recently-departed souls, Set
effectively sat down on the empty Seat in the East and began to run the
Aeon. All that repressive, inquisitional torture stuff was not the doing of
Osiris, but of his usurper brother Set - the lord of chaos and disorder.

THE AEON OF OSIRIS WAS HIJACKED BY SET

This is not commonly understood
 hus, the reign of Horus is not concerned with replacing or overthrowing the

T court of Osiris, but rather with war and vengeance. This is pure revenge
and retribution under the banner of Justice against the murderer Set and
his self-serving agents everywhere.
The violent war displays in Liber AL are ritualistic scenarios depicting various
aspects of the ongoing battle between Horus and Set, both in the outer world and
within the initiate.
In the sometimes overlooked case of the individual aspirant, it is one's integrated
consciousness that must constantly fight against the dispersal of light into the dark,
disordered labyrinth of the chaotic subconscious.
In the same manner, about three-quarters of the way through any given, uninterrupted, human
lifespan, more or less, any aggressive, vengeful, Horus-oriented individual is offered the
chance to pass between the columns that uphold the Pylon of the Judgement Hall of Ma'at.

Everyone does not accept, or even recognize, this opportunity. Those who do are said to
become beneficent and/or mellow. Those who don't become bitter and cranky.
For the individual initiate, and only in reference to this present era, being that of the first
decade of the second century of the Aeon of Horus - commonly known as the early 21st
century, A.D. [ "after darkness" ], the passing of this Pylon of Ma'at is holographically
equivalent to the grade of Ipsissimus, a fancy title if there ever was one.
Retiring Magi & other Hawks only need apply.
The evolution of the Aeon of Horus revolves around the ancient battle between Horus and
Set, now fully-manifested in the outer world - and just starting to roll !
The Aeon of Ma'at will not be entered by, or available to, the mass consciousness of
humanity until Horus and Set have brought themselves into a widely-registered* Equilibrium.
We should not expect to walk through the Pylon of Ma'at and then receive Justice.
Rather, we must first Justify (equilibrate) ourselves as the price of Admission.
* i.e., The Hundredth Monkey phenomenon: A critical mass-attained, quantum shift in mass consciousness.
A full reconciliation between Horus and Set is neither outlined nor described in the
mainstream versions of the ancient texts. The best that most of them can do is bring
the conflict to a stalemate.

This is where the planetary consciousness is right now.

Diagnosis: Cosmic schizophrenia / dualistic multiple-personality disorder.
Treatment Plan: Repeated Electro-shock therapy / Blasts from the Rod of Initiation
In the current era, Horus is the god of the rising sun, for he wrests the solar disk away from Set at Dawn.
And Set is the god of the setting sun, for he wrests the solar disk back again from Horus at Sunset.
This is the macrocosmic battle between Horus and Set: Day and Night - fought out on the Horizon.
This is also the microcosmic battle between the "higher self" and the "lower self."
Their resolution is sought through what has been called The Path and The Great Work.
However, once equilibrium is accomplished, the fusion of Horus and Set is predicted to
produce Hrumachis, the "double-wanded one," who will take the Seat in the East at the
Equinox of Ma'at. In the New Kingdom, Hrumachis (Hor-em-akhet - "Horus in the
Horizon") was the god of the rising and the setting sun, and he is seen represented as a
child, a falcon or, more commonly, as the leonine sphinx. His glyph is that of a double lion
and a solar disk.

For humanity at large, these events are on the far, distant horizon.
But for the individual initiate, the Pylon of Ma'at is supported, even today, by those
ancient pillars called Jachin and Boaz, but whose real names are Horus and Set.
