1. Handle by crane with straps. Leave the pallet to avoid doors damages
2. Handle by crane with straps (MEDI).
Insert belts or slings before inserting rods bar into eyebolts - belts with 4 point
fastening should be used as a loading harness
Check that max. tensile load per eyebolt is not exceeded: direction of pull a =
45 to the screw axis 240 kg/eyebolt
Respect transport regulations:
MINI or MEDI cabinet: insert rods through eyebolts and attach to crane
hook at minimum of 4 points
The bar and the fixing points are specified by Alcatel.
The choice of straps (slings), hooks and crane are under responsibility of
craning subcontractor.

Before making any electrical connections to the rack, ensure that the safety
instructions are applied.
It is essential that:
the electrical power supply is disconnected. Ensure that all switches or fuses
devoted to the new RACK into the site connection box are switched OFF
due to the high leakage current, the protective EARTH must be connected
to the equipment before AC or DC power cable connection.

1. At site power cabinet: check if 230 V fuse breakers are switched off
2. At rack side: using an ohmmeter, check that there is no short circuit between
phase and neutral
3. At rack side: do the same test between protective earth (green / yellow
wire) and each 230 V wire
