Insert belts or slings before inserting rods bar into eyebolts - belts with 4 point
fastening should be used as a loading harness
Check that max. tensile load per eyebolt is not exceeded: direction of pull a =
45 to the screw axis 240 kg/eyebolt
Respect transport regulations:

single cabinet: fasten transport belts to all 4 eyebolts

MINI or MEDI cabinet: insert rods through eyebolts and attach to crane
hook at minimum of 4 points
The bar and the fixing points are specified by Alcatel.
The choice of straps (slings), hooks and crane are under responsibility of
craning subcontractor.

4 Power Supply and Earth Installation

This chapter describes the procedure to:

Install power cables in the cable tray

Connect protective earth cable (GND)

Connect the 230 V mains power supply cables

Install the batteries

Test the power supply installation.

Before making any electrical connections to the rack, ensure that the safety
instructions are applied.
It is essential that:

the electrical power supply is disconnected. Ensure that all switches or fuses
devoted to the new RACK into the site connection box are switched OFF

due to the high leakage current, the protective EARTH must be connected
to the equipment before AC or DC power cable connection.

4.5 Batteries Installation (If Dismantled On Site)

The BTS can be equipped by factory either with BU41 or BU100 batteries. This
procedure is only applied after site dismantling (because transportation).

The weight of each element of battery BU100 is 30 kg. Apply safety rules
to carry it

Use insulated tools when connecting

Batteries are delivered in fully charged status.

Procedure 1. Put the batteries in the compartment at bottom of rack (See Figure 16)
2. Put spacers between batteries
3. Fix the batteries to the rack with strap (See Figure 20)
4. Connect the cables between the elements of batteries (See Figure 21
or Figure 22)
5. Connect positive and negative cables to the battery pack
6. Connect the temperature sensor to the positive of battery pack
7. Use protective covers to insulate terminals.
