“...for in you the fatherless find compassion” Hosea 14:3

Dear Friends, as we are nearing the end of 2010, we again want to thank God for what He has
done. We also want to thank you, our friends, for you prayers, your support, and your time.
Although the economy remains tough, we have so much to be grateful for. We just finished
packing the last boxes for our 62nd container! Just 6 weeks ago it looked as though it would
only be half full. But God again showed us that He is in control and all we need to do is to be
faithful. It was amazing to see how many boxes arrived, bags dropped off and pallets delivered.
We also raised over $3000 for shoes! Thank you so very much!

Just a few weeks ago, Pat and Dan Allen came from Deford Community Church in Michigan
with a huge truck to deliver shoes, clothes and care packages that their church had collected.
While Dan was driving, Pat was still making hats for the orphans all the way to Chicago!
Thanks be to God for people like Pat and Dan, who love the children in Ukraine so much and
Thank you for the shoes
are willing to go the extra mile, or 400 miles! Thank you Pat and Dan!

Fifteen years ago our Women's group was looking for a new mission
project. God blessed us in finding Little Lambs Ministry in a very unusual
way. One of our ladies picked up her mail at her rural box, carried it to
her porch and laid it down while she did some outdoor chores. When she
finally picked it up the wind had blown a trial parenting magazine open
to a page that had a short article about Little Lambs Ministry. She
brought it to our attention thinking maybe we would be interested. It
was then that God began and blessed us with a 15 year journey for our
church.
We spend each year collecting donations, of shoes, clothes, and care packages
from our church families, rummage and garage sales and store sales. Then
someone from church delivers our donations to the Little Lambs ware-
house. It is such a joy giving to these forgotten orphans, knowing not only
that they are receiving clothing they so badly need, but most of all that they
hear about Jesus Christ who loves them and cares for them. For many of
these orphans this is the only way they hear the word of God.
Please consider what you and your church can do to help these lonely and
forgotten children in the Ukraine.
Pat Allen, Deford Community Church Deford, MI.

Thank you for your faithful support Pat and Dan and to
the hundreds more that care deeply about the fate of
the orphaned children in the former Soviet Union.
Jesus’ love compels us to care for both the physical and
spiritual needs of orphans and those children that are
forgotten. Together we can introduce them to a Father
who will never leave them fatherless. Thank you.

abandoned children.
Please pray for safety as the teams travel and bring winter clothing and gifts to the children.
We also need your help this winter. We would like to cover the transportation costs for our Ukrainian teams. The

Little Lambs Christmas Projects
Little Lambs homes are Christian family homes for orphans that were established as an alterna-
tive to the government orphanages in Ukraine. Little Lambs has supported 7 family homes in the
past 8 years. Today we have new and exciting opportunities to help the Ukrainian Christians as
they reach out to help the orphans:

1. We are in need of an old car for our Ovritch boys home. The plan is to get a Rus-
sian made car so that the boys in the home can learn how to maintain it and fix it when
it breaks. Those cars are not good, but their parts are very cheap and will provide the
boys with an opportunity to acquire skills they can use for life. Thank you God for An-
drew, а young man who has taken in the boys and cares deeply about the boys future.
We need $1,500 to buy a car.

2. We are praying for God to provide funds to buy a small farm to support our Rovno home. The farm is big
enough so that some of the orphans that are now married can have a little plot on it and grow what they need. It
will also teach the children who live in the home to work for their food and learn to appreciate what they have done
with their own hands. It has the possibility of being divided into four building lots at a later date, if need be. The
farm costs $40,000. We have already received $5,000 and have a commitment of $10,000 from a Ukrainian Chris-
tian business man. This means we are almost half way there!
We need $25,000 for the Rovno farm.

3. We are helping a church planter Sergey and his wife Sveta to start a family home for orphans near Zolo-
tonosha, Ukraine. The village officials are so impressed with this family and the outreach they have in the village
that they offered them this building (with the option to buy), to start a home for orphans. Two boys are already
waiting and praying in the orphanage for the day they can move in with Sergey and
Sveta. They are planning to take at least 8 more children. The building still needs a lot
of work but much has been done already. We wanted to help this family purchase the
building so that the government could not come back later, when it is all fixed up, and
take it away.
We needed $6,000. God provided! Thanks to the Green Tree Community Church in
MO and a donor in Chicago we are able to meet this challenge! Thank you.

4. We have been praying for a home for orphans in Kiev for many years. We are looking into buying a home or an
apartment in Kiev. А four bedroom apartment in Kiev costs between $80,000 - $120,000.
Please pray with us for God to show us His plan.

These are amazing opportunities in Ukraine that help support

Christians as they take children out of the orphanages and raise
them in a Christian environment. We started our first home in
Rovno 12 years ago. Since then, 62 children have lived in this
home, half of them were graduates from orphanages, 46 of them
accepted Christ, and 15 have married. Many of them work in the
Little Lambs Camps every summer. One of the children, Sasha,
has followed God’s call to be a missionary in Uganda! God has
blessed this home and we hope that our new home in Zolo and
the Ovritch boys home will also have many testimonies of chil-
dren’s lives, changed by Christ Jesus. If you would like to sup-
port one of these projects, please return the response card with
your check to Little Lambs office. Our Rovno Home

2010— What a year it has been for the Kurz family !

Two Little Miracles

The year of 2010 started with lots of excitement in our home – both
of our married daughters were pregnant and we were going to be-
come grandparents! Our youngest daughter, Tabea, was pregnant
with a baby boy and our oldest daughter, Johanna, was pregnant
with triplets.
In the beginning of February, just 13 weeks into the pregnancy we
learned of complications, that one of the triplets bags was leaking
fluid. We all prayed and many people all over the world prayed for
a miracle and for baby C to hang on. And little Nathan (baby C) did
for 12 weeks. But on April 14th Johanna went into labor and despite
all the efforts of the doctors it was impossible to stop the contractions.
That night we welcomed Nathan Lawrence 1lb 7oz, Noah David 1lb
4oz, and Amelia Renae 1lb 7.5oz. Nathan lived only for 40 minutes,
but he tried so hard. Without his perseverance the other two would
never have made it this far. Noah and Amelia are our two miracles!
And Nathan is our hero. The doctors were optimistic about the twins,
but one never knows what can develop with babies born so prema-
turely. The next couple of days and actually weeks were critical for
these 25-week preemie babies. The doctors gave them a 60-70%
chance to survive. Again we prayed and many, many people
prayed. We saw God’s hand on those two little miracles as they
slowly grew and developed. And on July 29, 2010 Noah and Ame-
lia came home! They both had eye surgery just before they were
released home and both are now doing amazingly well.
It has only been a few months since they came home and we have
many pictures of them in the NICU, but it is still hard to imagine how
little 1lb, 4oz is. It makes it even more of a Miracle to see them today.
We know that only by His Grace the babies survived. Thank God for
the Two Little Miracles. And thank you for all your prayers!
Meanwhile our youngest daughter, Tabea, gave birth one week after
the triplets were born on April 21, to a healthy 9lb.2 oz. baby boy.
His name is Carter Nathan.
Today, all our three grandchildren are doing well and are the joy of
our lives! Thank you, God, for our three beautiful grandchildren.
Thank you for the miracles. Our Two Little Miracles

At this time of the year it is time to pause and thank God for His son who was born to us.
The miracle of miracles! From all of us at Little Lambs, our staff in Ukraine and thou-
sands of orphans that were touched by you, we want to wish you a Merry Christmas and a
Blessed New Year!
