ACADEMIC PROJECTS:

Project Title: Serial Port Device Driver for Embedded Data Acquisition System
Using Vxworks

Description: Objective of this project is to write a device driver module for Embedded Data
Acquisition System. I was involved in designing an Embedded Data Acquisition System
using Micro controller, ADC (Analog to Digital Converter) and various sensors like
temperature, pressure, humidity, Light sensors etc. The firmware program shall read the
values of all the sensors and send to a target system driven using vxworks. Vxworks is
used to perform all calibration activities and take actions whenever a sensor value crosses
a threshold. My role was to under stand the device driver architecture in vxworks hence I
was involved in writing a serial port device driver for EDAS (Embedded Data Acqusition
system). It is used in Cameras, Robots, etc.

Project Title: Data Logger using micro controller ‘8051’

Description: A data logger is device that can be used to collect and store data. A data logger is an
electronic instrument that records parameters such as temperature, relative humidity, wind
speed, wind direction, light intensity etc, over extended periods of time. Typically, data
loggers are compact, battery-powered devices that are equipped with micro controller input
channels, sensors and data storage. Most data loggers interface with a personal computer
and utilize software to active the logger and view/analyze the collected data.
