Overview

Brandenburg Munitions Plant This pressure mine, also know as the Symmetrical Paintball Land Mine (or in the D-
Day game: APLM-1) is a very simple design and is quite effective against a single
target. It uses PVC parts that can be purchased from most hardware stores or home
improvement centers, like Home Depot. A single 12 gram CO2 cartridge is triggered by
Assembly Overview stepping on the top of the plunger shaft. The CO2 is punctured, releases its charge and
immediately forces paint from the chamber out of the four holes on the top of the
threaded cap. The target is consumed in a cloud of paint.

This document gives an overview of how the Symmetrical Paintball Land Mine, US
Patent 6,688,234 might have been constructed. In one particular area, it enhances the
design by adding an additional “safety collar” on the plunger instead of the basic
retaining screws. If you do not currently own a Symmetrical Paintball Land Mine to test
this enhanced safety feature, you can construct a mock one from the preceding
instructions. Most importantly, this document does not encourage the reader to violate
any existing US Patents on this device and is solely provided for informational
purposes only.

Below are two pictures from the US Patent which should provide a cross sectional
overview of the mine:

Tools Needed:
• Drill
• 1/16 Drill Bit
• 1/4 Inch Drill Bit
• 3/16 Inch Drill Bit
• 7/8 Inch Paddle Drill Bit
• PVC Saw or metal hack saw
• Philips Screw Driver
• PVC Primer and PVC Cement
• 2 Ton Epoxy or JB Weld type glue

Advice
Build one to become familiar with how it all comes together. If
you plan on making several mines, set up in such a way so that
it is task based.

Example:
• Measure all of your pipe sections and then cut them.
• Drill the same all the same size holes at the same time.
