About Group

Somani Group & Kapoor Group are renowned business group of

Jagdalpur and undivided Madhya Pradesh & Orissa borders and
are having interest in various businesses. Both the groups are
having well established & diversified businesses, varying from
rice milling, trading in forest produces, drilling bore wells, real
estate to cold storage chains.

The group is having well established & diversified businesses,

varying from wholesale cloth merchant, chain of rice mills ( two
units in Malkangiri district of Orissa), dealership of fertilizers,
hardware and fabrication work, trading of forest produces, real
estate, stone crusher and a chain of five cold storages across
the country. The group had successfully established in joint
venture with Kapoor group, i.e. Geedam Cold Storage Pvt Ltd.
and Devki Cold Storage Pvt Ltd. Presently the family business is
being headed by Shri Bhanwarlal Somani, Shri Shantilal Somani,
Shri Shyam Somani and Shri Suresh Somani four sons of Late
Shri Lalchandji Somani and the young entrepreneurs of Somani
group.

The Somani group together with kapoor group, another

reputed group of Jagdalpur, has promoted two cold storage
units. Further they visualizing the potential of steel Industry
and emerging of Raipur as hub of Iron & Steel Industry and
has established M/s Baldev Alloys Private Limited, a 150 TPD
sponge Iron Unit in 2010 further with the expansion of 50
TPD of kiln, arc furnace and power generation from the

waste heat. The unit has been in profitable operations from

last 5 years.

Kapoor Group is having presence in Cold Storage

Industries & Bore-well Drilling contracts since last 30 years
at undivided Madhya Pradesh & Orissa borders. They have
also interest in Real Estate business, liquor business, etc.

Alloys Pvt Ltd is the corporate house managed by young and
visionary entrepreneur Mr. Rajeev Kapoor & Mr. Jeetendra
Somani duly supported by strong team of board of directors,
business advisors and senior team of professionals along with
skilled manpower heading to achieve new heights in a span of
time.

Baldev Alloys Pvt. Ltd. was established in the year 2003 with
Sponge Iron manufacturing unit. After implementing 200
tonnes per day until one after other, the company was looking
for Steel making facilities to meet the challenge and to cater
steel with BIS specification as passed by Parliament in union
Golf Gazette, Notification.

The Group has emerged as a strong player in the Steel trading

in the Central Region supported operations in Chhattisgarh and
other states.

Shyam Somani s/o of Late Shri Lalchand Somani belongs to

well known Somani group of Jagdalpur. Somani’s are the
leading players in Rice Industries and trading of forest
produce at Jagdalpur. Their combined turnover in Rice &
forest produce business is more than Rs. 25.00 Crs. They
had also presence in real estate business. Further they had
ventured in cold storage business and are having three cold
storages, which includes two cold storages under joint
venture with Kapoor group. Their presence in real estate and
cold storage had brought them closer to Kapoor group,
which is also having presence in this business. Somani’s with
Kapoor’s, visualizing the robust potential in steel industry
had jointly promoted Baldev Alloys Pvt. Ltd in 2004.

Sanjeev Kapoor , aged 35 years, a commerce graduate

and a prominent personality working in association with Shri
Rajeev Kapoor in cold storages, petrol pump, real estate and
Government Civil contracts and having sponge iron unit in
Raipur.
