Smitherm Heater Mica Plate is manufacture using best quality Muscovite or
Phlogophite Mica paper with Silicon resins binder under specific heat and pressure to
produce Rigid and flat surface sheets.
It is blister free and generates very low smoke on first heat. Fully resist against high
heat with excellent electrical insulation. Suitable for easy die punching or machining
as require. It is widely used as a heating barrier as well as electrical insulation for
many domestic appliances and various industrial applications.
Availability : Sheet Size – 1000mm x 1200mm ,1000mm x 600mm

produce Rigid and flat surface sheets.
Mica plates have very good electrical and mechanical properties. Fully resist against
high heat with excellent electrical insulation. It is well suited for any machining into
any shapes.
It is widely used for Arc Chutes, Bus bar supports, Furnace Lining, Induction furnace,
Resistor banks, Insulation of high heating area etc.

Flexible Mica Plates is a good heat resistant Insulating material, which retains its
permanent flexibility at room temperature.

Smitherm Glass Mica Rolls consisting of either Muscovite or Phlogophite Mica paper
laminated with Glass Cloth with Silicon Resin binder.
Smiththerm Glass Mica rolls are flexible and thermally resistant sheet and mainly used
as slip plane Insulation between the crucibles and induction coil in Induction furnace.
A Glass Mica roll protects the induction coil from the expansion forces of refectories,
serves as barrier leakage currents and act as a slip planes, facilitating removal of the
crucibles.

Molding Micanite sheet softens under low heat to facilitate desire molding shapes, and
under high heat it permanently cures to withstand high temperature in desire shapes.
It is widely used for Commutator, decorative panels, lampshades, coil former and other
insulations.

Smitherm offer superior quality of FRP – Fiberglass reinforced polyester laminates Grade GPO-3. This
has excellent combination of high strength, Flame resistance and low smoke, flame and toxicity
generation. It is manufactured from layer of glass mat bonded with thermosetting temperature stable
polyester resins as per NEMA procedure NEMA LI – 1. This product is widely used in electrical application
that require high arc and carbon track resistance, as well as flame resistance, physical strength and
moderate heat resistance.

Polyester laminates are widely used in motor and generator for blocking and wedging application as well
as making of phase and end barriers, Insulating supports, Bus bar supports, Mounting panel in
switchgear, transformers, Electric Ovens, Induction furnaces, stand off insulators and press insulation.

Smitherm Glass fiber Epoxy laminates are made from specially treated woven glass fabric impregnated
with a thermosetting Synthetic resin under specific heat and pressure. Smitherm manufacture mainly
Epoxy resin based laminates sheets, as per NEMA Grade G10 / FR4 and G11. This laminates are
extremely high in mechanical strength, has low dissipation factors and has superior electrical
characteristics, which are exhibited over a wide range of temperatures and humilities.
GRADES
G-10 and G-11 (Glass Cloth / Epoxy Resin)
This glass epoxy laminates are specified for their extremely high strength and high stability over
temperature. G-10 and G-11 are used for terminal Board, insulation in electro magnet, separators, High
humidity applications, LV and HV circuit breakers, Electric Rotor Insulations, and where strength to size
ratio is critical. G-10 is slightly stronger while G-11 is a better insulator and can take higher temperature.
FR-4 (Glass Cloth / Epoxy Resin)

FR-4 is Fire Retardant G-10 Glass Epoxy laminates.
