- “Your controls”
- Call “My controls”
- Call “Rolling”
- Start timing and elapse
time
At V1 - Call “V1”
At VR - Call “Rotate”
- Check speed
- Rotate the ACFT smoothly
and continuously
- Aim to initial pitch target
attitude (12.0 nose up)
until the aircraft is airborne
(more than 35 ft AGL),
then
- Follow FD
- Maximum 18 nose up
When positive rate of climb is - Call “Gear up” - Check positive rate of
established climb
- Select gear lever to up and
call “Gear up selected”
- After gears are up (all
green lights out), select
gear lever to neutral and
call “Gear is up”
- Change of value setting on speed, altitude or heading without changing in AFS mode
selection may not require a call out, but read back of ATC clearances always require.
- FMS CDU page setting PF PNF
o Takeoff PROG TAKEOFF or
TAKEOFF PROG
o Climb, cruise and descend PROG F-PLN
o Approach PROG APPROACH (or F-PLN)
DESCEND INITIATION
APPROACH
Note:
- When intercepting ILS, PF should set ND to ROSE/ARC, NAV-ILS-VOR selector to ILS,
check ILS call sign (IDENT), ILS coverage, and aircraft speed, intercept angel before
ARM LAND.
- For flaps 15, PF shall call out “Flap 15”, and PNF shall select flaps to 15 and call out
“Flap 15 selected”. PF set speed for flap 15 by use F speed on PFD + 10 Kt.
- Flaps 15 may use with speed brakes.
- Use of flaps 15 should normally be avoided in order to reduce workload. Flaps 15 may
require when need to correct for altitude profile, maintain speed according to ATC
requirement or when need to descend follow glide path at high weight.
- PF shall set speed down to S or F after ordering slats/flaps extension.
PNF must confirm the correct configuration on the SFPI.
- Normal approach speed = VLS + wind correction
Wind correction = 1/3 wind speed (up to cross wind, no tail wind component) or
gust value whichever is higher
If A/THR is used, minimum wind correction is 5 Kt.
Maximum wind correction is 15 Kt.
Gust value = reporting gusting wind – mean wind speed
e.g. 150/15 gust 25, gust value = 10
Example: L/D at BKK R/W 21R (A/THR in used)
Wind 150 / 18:…………………………………..VAPP = VLS + 6
Wind calm:………………………………………VAPP = VLS + 5
Wind 200 / 10:…………………………………..VAPP = VLS + 5
Wind 050 / 5……………………………………..VAPP = VLS + 5
Wind 150 / 12 gust 20:………………………….VAPP = VLS + 8
Wind 150 / 20 gust 25:………………………….VAPP = VLS + 7
GO-AROUND
At DA, if visual clue can not - Call “Going-around” and - Call “Minimum, go-around”
be attained and maintained, trig go lever, or advance if “Contact” had not been
or if the aircraft is not throttle to TOGA if ATS is called by PF
stabilized not available
- Check FMA | THR | GO
- Aim to initial pitch target AROUND
attitude (15 nose up)
- DO NOT EXCEED MAX
18 NOSE UP
- Counteract pitch-up
moment. USE
STABILIZER TRIM to relief
elevator push-force.
-
For training purpose only 8
Events PF actions and call outs PNF actions and call outs
- Be aware of strong pitch up moment from thrust increment during go-around due to
high thrust per weight ratio, especially when operate at low weight, low approach
speed, forward CG.
- In automatic go-around, PF shall check that autopilot move the stabilizer trim towards
nose down direction, until approximately 2 nose up.
- In manual go-around, PF shall USE STABILIZER TRIM towards nose DOWN in order
to relief elevator push force require to counteract pitch-up moment from thrust
increment. Beware of pitch trim levers dropped of during go-around in windshear. If
electric trim is not operative, use manual trim.
- DO NOT LET PITCH ATTITUDE > 18 NOSE UP.
- If pitch attitude > 30 nose up, FD and FMA will disappear. Speed will decrease rapidly
and flight control will lose effectiveness.
- If necessary (and if altitude permit), consider reducing thrust to bring the aircraft pitch
down in order to regain speed and flight control effectiveness.
When engine failure (or fire) - First pilot who detected engine failure call “Engine_ fail”
is detected after V1 - LP call “Go”
At VR - Call Rotate”
- Rotate the ACFT at rate <
3 per sec
- Aim to initial pitch target
attitude for engine failure
(10 NOSE UP) until the
aircraft is airborne (RA
show increase), then
- Follow FD
- MAXIMUM 12.5 NOSE
UP
- Order “MCT”
- Set MCT on TRP
- Set speed to green dot (or
S speed if slats is kept
extended)
1-ENG GO-AROUND
