2. We discussed the prototype theory of concepts. Assume that a list of each of the

the concept’s prototype. Discuss some actual examples of members of the
category and grade them for typically, as we graded sparrow and penguin as

She refers to the subject and the party refers to the place she is at.
C. There’s a policeman (noun phrase) looking at your car.
A policeman refers to the policeman that is there at the moment.
D. The script (noun phrase) calls for a short fat guy (noun phrase).
The script refers to a script and a short fat guy refers to a character in the
script.
E. You asked for a ham sandwich, this is a ham sandwich (both are noun
phrases).
The first a ham sandwich refers to the sandwich that ‘you’ wants. The second
a ham sandwich refers to the sandwich the speaker has.
