Hace 65 años, el 10 de noviembre de 1945, los jóvenes progresistas y antifacistas de este mundo se
reunían en Londres en la Conferencia Mundial Juvenil convocada por la iniciativa del Consejo
Mundial de Juventud que se fundó durante la guerra contra el fascismo por la juventud de los países
aliados, que reunió por primera vez en la historia del movimiento internacional juvenil a
representantes de más de 30 millones de jóvenes de diferentes tendencias políticas y religiosas
procedentes de 63 naciones, quedando fundada la Federación Mundial de Juventudes
Democráticas(FMJD).

La Federación Mundial continua hoy más que nunca siendo la organización de la juventud unida en
su determinación de trabajar por la paz, la libertad, la democracia, la independencia y la igualdad en
cualquier lugar del mundo y considera su trabajo como una contribución al trabajo de las Naciones
Unidas, como la vía más cierta para facilitar la felicidad, el bienestar de las futuras generaciones y
la protección de los derechos e intereses de la juventud,

65 años después el mundo continua con muchas desigualdades, marcado por una amplia crisis
estructural del sistema capitalista, la desigual distribución de los recursos, las constantes guerras de
rapiñas por el control de los recursos naturales, el incremento de la pobreza, la incitación al
consumismo despiadado, a la destrucción de nuestro habitad, para satisfacer los gustos de los ricos,
continúan, afectado especialmente a los jóvenes, las mujeres y los niños, llegando a poner en
peligro la supervivencia de nuestra propia especie, que corre el riesgo de desaparecer.

La juventud progresista de este mundo que se prepara para celebrar el próximo mes de diciembre el
XVII Festival Mundial de la Juventud y los Estudiantes, en Sudáfrica, que estará dedicado a Nelson
Mandela y Fidel castro, ejemplos de lucha para los jóvenes, esta consiente que el orden económico
imperialista, que impera, tiene que cambiar, que la lucha por derrotar al imperialismo es la única
alternativa para sobrevivir, que queremos vivir en un mundo en Paz, con hermandad, solidaridad y
con grandes transformaciones sociales, en bien de nuestra especie humana, sin hambre, sin
pobreza, sin guerras, con pleno acceso a la educación, la salud, con un medio ambiente saludable,
en un mundo donde coexista la amistad y el entendimiento mutuo.

La FMJD desea reitera su total solidaridad con todas las causa de luchas, con todas las
revoluciones y los líderes históricos que nos han inspirados a mantenernos combatiendo al
imperialismo, durante todo este tiempo, sin su contribución, no hubiera sido posible llegar hasta aquí,
reafirmamos que en los nuevos escenarios de lucha, que vivimos seremos consecuentes con el
ejemplo que cada día nos dan, con sus enseñanza y trabajaremos por que las nuevas generaciones
aprendan de toda la experiencia de lucha acumulada durante todo este tiempo.

La FMJD reitera su compromiso de seguir trabajando por fortalecer la cooperación entre todas las
organizaciones juveniles internacionales, regionales y nacionales del mundo como la tarea
fundamental en la contribución al fortalecimiento de la unidad de acción y la solidaridad internacional
de la juventud, de todas las fuerzas antiimperialistas, progresistas y democráticas en la satisfacción
de los intereses de todos los jóvenes, las condiciones e intereses y la necesidad para los jóvenes de
ir más allá de las diferencias y enfrentar los problemas comunes de forma conjunta.

Le Federación Mundial de la Juventud Democrática deseo enviar a su vez nuestra más sincera
felicitación a todos lo que han contribuido a mantener en alto las luchas históricas del movimiento
juvenil progresista internacional, ratificando que el futuro pertenece por entero a los jóvenes si somos
consecuentes con el legado histórico que nos han dejado las generaciones que nos precedieron,
convoca a todas su organizaciones miembros, amigas y de toda la juventud progresista de este
mundo a celebrar el 10 de noviembre los 65 años de la organización con una gran jornada
internacional de lucha para derrotar al imperialismo, por un mundo en Paz, solidaridad y con
transformaciones sociales.

It was 65 years ago, on November 10th, 1945; when the progressive and anti-facist youth around the
world got gathered in London, during the World Youth Conference, called by the World Youth
Council. It was founded during the war against facism by the youth of all the allied countries and
gathered for the first time in the history of the international youth movement, more than 30 millions of
young pepople from diferent political and religious tendences from more than 63 nations, in
thisConference was founded the World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY).
The World Federation is today more than ever, the organization of the united youth, working for
peace, freedom, democracy, independence and equality all over the world and consider its work as a
contribution to the United Nations, as the certain way to facilitate the happiness and walfare of the
future generations and to protect the rights and interests of the youth.

After 65 years of founding WFDY the world still face many inequalities and is marked by a structural
crisis of the capitalist system, the unequal distribution of the resources, the constant wars to control
the natural resources, the increasing of poverty, the prompting to a pitiless consumerism and the
destruction of the environment to satisfy the richest people, continue affecting specially the young
people, women and children, and even putting in danger the survival of the human being, that is in
risk of disappearing.

The progressive youth around the world that is preparing the XVII World Festival of the Youth and
Students that is going to be celebrated on December in South Africa, and is devoted to Nelson
Mandela and Fidel Castro, examples of fighting for the young people, is conscious that the imperialist
economical order has to change, that the struggle to defeat the imperialism is the only alternative to
survive. We want to live in a world in peace, fraternity, solidarity and many social transformations, in
favour of the human being, without starvation, poverty, wars and with the plenty access to education,
health a healthful environment, in a world where coexist the friendship and the mutual understanding.

The World Federation of Democratic Youth reaffirms its total solidarity with all the fights, revolutions
and the historical leaders that have inspire us to keep struggling against imperialism, during many
years, without their contribution, it couldn’t be possible to stand here. We reaffirm that in the new
fighting sceneries, we will be consequents with their example, with their teaching ( education,) and we
are going to work for the new generations to learn all the experience of the accumulated struggles
during all these years.

WFDY reaffirms its compromise to keep working to strengthen the cooperation among all the
international, regional and national youth organizations around the world as the main issue to
contribute to the strengthening of the action unity and international solidarity, of all the antimperialist,
progressive and democratic forces to satisfy the interests of the young people, the conditions,
interests and the needs of the youth to go further more of all differences and face together the
common problems.

The World Federation of Democratic Youth send a sincere congratulation to those that have
contributed to keep overhead the historical struggles of the international and progressive youth
movement, endorsing that future belongs entirely to the youth if we are consequents with the
historical legacy of the previous generations and convokes to all the member and friends
organizations and also all the progressive youth around the world to celebrate on November 10 th, the
65 anniversary of the organization with a great international struggling day to defeat imperialism for a
world of peace, solidarity and social transformations.
