WHO’S YOUR HUSBAND?

By Lahry Sibley

Rom 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to
her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is
loosed from the law of her husband.
Rom 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to
another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be
dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though
she be married to another man.
Rom 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by
the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him
who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto
God.

It is common knowledge, even to the novice Bible reader that the

“church” is called the Bride of Christ. If we are members of His Body,
we are betrothed to Him as His bride. But we are not born that way,
beloved. We are born wed to another, that sin nature. We are subject
to it, as a wife is subject to her husband. We are bound to it by law.
All have sinned, there is none righteous, no, not even one. The two
have become one, spirit and sin, and no man can put it asunder . NO
MAN!

While sin is yet ALIVE, we are not free to marry another, for we are
bound by law to the husband yet alive. If we say we are bound to
Christ in marriage, when we are yet wed to our flesh, we are liars and
adulterers. I SAID, WE ARE LIARS AND ADULTERERS!!!! Hello?

In order for one to be free to become the Bride of Christ, one must be
free from the marriage of sin. The only way a person can be freed from
the law of marriage to sin and death, is that flesh, that sin nature
must first DIE!!! Where does it die? On the cross, with Christ! It is
consumed as a living sacrifice. This frees us from our legal bondage
to it. We are to no longer submit to it, because it is dead. DEAD! Is
that it? Not quite.

While alive, your husband, sin, ran up quite a string of crimes in the
government of God. Since God is just, He cannot and will not excuse
the crimes of your husband. So the husband is crucified with Christ,
suffering in Christ, the WRATH of God for it’s crimes. This leaves you
and me, the converted, free to wed the One Who died for us. Now we are
free, and we are clean, without spot or wrinkle. We are now ready for
the resurrection, the power and consummation into the newness of the
sanctified life. Halleluyah.
We become dead to the law that bound us to sin and death and it has
become dead to us, and we have been wed to the headship of Christ,
totally and completely submitted to Him in all things, subject to His
authority and majesty. Glory to God.

We are forgiven the sin debt accrued in our marriage to the man of sin
because the man of sin died with Christ for that sin, and we are
welcomed into our marriage to the Lamb of God.

To sin from this point on, is to commit spiritual adultery of the most
heinous kind. For you have become and infidel to your Husband, the
Lord Jesus Christ. You have trampled His love underfoot, and made a
mockery of His grace by your lust for another….even self. Oh beloved.
This is not a casual thing. This is not something to take lightly. It
is enough to make one thrill and tremble all at the same time.

Oh, that I may never ever betray the love of my husband in

disobedience or infidelity, by counting on any other thing to supply
my needs, gladden my heart, and capture my heart. His love for me is
pure. My love must be the same, or I am an INFIDEL!!! May it never be.
I am submitted to my Husband, I abide in Him and His Word abides in
me, to keep me faithful and faithfilled. His faith is my faith. His
righteousness is my righteousness. His life is my life. Before God, He
and I are One. Glory to God!!! Glory to God!!!

You know I have to ask…..who is your husband? If your flesh is not yet
crucified, by faith, you are not free from it’s law to wed Christ. It
must first die! FIRST THE CROSS! Repentance! Then the burial and
resurrection into newness of Life. Then comes the Holy Spirit to
thrill us, to fill us, to seal us, to sanctify us, and claim us for
Christ for all times. Glory!!! Halleluyah!!!!

Anyone who says they are yet bound to sin and self and yet say they
are married to Christ are liars and the truth is not in them, I don’t
care how sincere their confession. There is not such thing as
spiritual bigamy!!! By their own admission they are still wed to sin
and in subjection to its dictates and they cannot possibly be married
to Christ Who will NEVER RECEIVE THEM as an adulterer. It is INSANE to
think otherwise. It’s time to GET REAL WITH GOD!!!! REPENT!!!! …or
PERISH!!!!! - Lahry
