What is a Venn Diagram?
A Venn diagram involves overlapping circles, which present how things are being organized, their similarities and
differences. The similarities are written in the space where the two circles overlap. The differences of the two subjects or ideas
are written in the remaining space in each circle.

Complete the following Venn diagram about the similarities and differences of oceans and lakes. Use 1 whole sheet of paper.
Choose from the given options.
Oceans and lakes have a lot in common but they are also quite different. They are both bodies of water. A main difference is
that an ocean is very large and is salt water, while the lake is much smaller and is fresh water. Lakes are usually surrounded
by land while oceans are what surround continents. Both have plants and animals that live in them. The ocean is home to
the largest animals on the planet, whereas lakes contain much smaller animals. When it is time for vacation, both will make
a great place to visit and have fun.

Myth is a traditional story especially one concerning the early history of people or explaining a
natural or social phenomenon, and typically involving supernatural beings or events while a legend is a
traditional story sometimes popularly regarded as historical but not authenticated
There are no evidences to prove a particular event or character in a myth is based on real facts while
there are some evidences to prove that a particular event or character in a legend is based on real
facts. Myths talk about supernatural characters like gods, demigods, and mythical creatures. Legends talk
about historical figures and events, which are exaggerated.
Myths explain the unnatural phenomenon through symbols and metaphors. Legends are often about
heroic deeds or overcoming obstacles.
Many myths and legends contain morals and supposed truths about bravery, goodness, cowardice,
and evil.
