2019 Guv Cup Champs
While the Montana Governor’s Cup Walleye
Tournament has always been a fun and exciting event
for the community in its first 31 years, the 32nd annual
tournament has to go into the books as thee best thus
far. Not only did the 200-team field fill in record fashion,
the winning weight was also a record fashion. Holding
their coveted plaques, rings and a $15,000 check
presented by Master of Ceremonies Joe Herbold (left)
and tournament co-director Todd Young (right) are Adam
Morehouse and Matt Poole. Sitting in fifth place on a
scant over 35 pounds on Friday going into a second day

of fishing on Saturday, the Glasgow duo would catch
just under 35 pounds (two extremely consistent days!)
for a grand total 70.04 pounds. That was just enough
to hold off Kris Keller and Cody Strohm by a mere four
hundredths of a pound! The Wolf Point/Richey team had
been sitting in 25th place on Friday with 28.94 pounds
and bounced back with 41.06 pounds, the third largest
single-day weight of the 2019 tournament, but again, at
an even 70 pounds, it was a mere 0.04 of a pound short.
These are the only two teams that have ever cracked
the 70-pound mark in Guv Cup Tourney history.

Problems In Our Institutes
Of Higher Learning
Many problems occur when you
give something to someone, let them
use it for years all the while telling that
person how to live their life and then,
suddenly they do something you don’t agree with
and they pull your free money.
Hurts don’t it?
That kind of situation is rampant in our colleges and
universities from coast to coast and border to border. Here’s
what’s going on as I see it. Oh.... but first I should tell you a
little history about Qatar.
Qatar has a population of around 2.6 million folks.
313,00 are natural citizens and the other 2.3 million are
interlopers or ex-patriots working mainly in the oil and gas
industry. Qatar owns the third largest O and G reserves in
the world.
The country is under Islamic rule. Sharia law is
enforced. Folks can’t quite decide if it is a “constitutional
monarchy” or an absolute monarchy. I say who cares.
Qatar has the highest per capita income in the world!
Betcha didn’t know that. Their income is from oil and gas
and tourism.
Qatar owns the Al Jazeera Media Network and supplied
funds to rebel groups in what is now called the Arab Spring
uprising, an anti-government rebellion.
Now comes the good part, friends. Qatar, since 2008
has given over $10 million to public schools throughout the
US and over 1.4 billion to universities in America.
Some of the recipients of this Qatari largess include
Georgetown U, Harvard, UNC, U of Iowa, U of Washington
Seattle, Johns Hopkins U, Carnegie Mellon U, U of Michigan,
USC, Northwestern, VCU and Cornell to name just a few.

I’ll give you a sample of things to come if we insist
on using the words “inclusive”, open borders and political
correctness.
A group of black activists disrupted the class of an economics
teacher, then proceeded to the chairman’s office and held
him and his secretary hostage for thirteen hours. The
charge, of course, was that the teacher was racist in using
a Western stand for judgment of the efficiency of African
economic performance.
The students were praised for calling the problem to
the attention of the authorities, the chairman refused to
proffer charges against them, and the teacher disappeared
miraculously from campus, never to be seen again.
Should we allow a foreign country to dictate college
curriculi? Should we allow Sharia Law to be practiced here
in America? Well folks, that is exactly what the Muslims in
Qatar are trying to achieve when they toss money (a good
portion of it our gas and oil money) at the colleges and
tell them what to teach our kids and then say “our way or
no more money.” The Universities are used to getting this
windfall and are loathe to let it go so they start to comply
with the Qataris.....incrementally so’s we don’t notice what’s
happening until we are forced to speak Arab, wear the jibab
and the other things women wear and in a final show we
either accept Islam or we aren’t.....anymore.
Under Sharia law getting caught in an adulterous
situation can bring you 100 lashes as a Filipino woman in
2006 found out. In 2010 there were 18 foreign nationals,
ex-pats, who were given 40 to 100 lashes for “illicit sexual
relations and/or alcohol consumption.
Stoning is a legal punishment. Blasphemy can get you
7 years in the slammer.
I’m not making this up folks. Can we still be a free
country if we allow Sharia Law to rule along with our civil
law? I think not.
And what the hell business is it of the Qataris how we
teach our own college and university students. Oh.... yeah...
I get it. They want to get a head start on our really young
kids in their (the Qataris) brain-washing scheme.
The $1.4 billion I alluded to earlier is used, in part,
to “fund teacher training” (brain-washing) “programs,
cultural events and curriculum development issues not
always in step with American values. One of their lesson
plans is entitled “Express your loyalty to Qatar,” and another
accuses America of starting the Iraqi War in order to “feast
on” Iraq’s economy! Poppycock!
I know most of the questions and very few of the
answers. What I do know is that America as we know Her
is in peril. Electing people such as Omar, Tlaib, AOC and
others of their ilk is the tip of the sword. Along with Sarsour
and a couple others just look at the damage they have caused
in just a short period of time.
Can we stand any more?
