SAMPLE LETTER OF REQUEST

January 23, 2019

Dr. Donna Paz T. Reyes

Chair, Department of Environment

Dear Dr. Reyes:

One of the requirements of a General Education course, PCOM 1.0: Purposive

Communication, is to create a multi-modal advocacy campaign. Our group has decided to
address the issue on Sea Level Rise in the Philippines. With our advocacy, “Sea Your
Future,” our group is confident that we can make a difference because we do not only save
the Earth but also the people and all the living creatures.

We would be happy to have the opportunity to schedule a 30-minute videotaped interview

with you any time at your convenience. We believe that your expertise in the field can
provide us insights about the causes in the rise of sea level and your recommendations on
how we can strengthen our advocacy campaign.

May we also consult you regarding the poster, brochure, and video which we will create after
our first meeting with you. We hope you can enlighten us on how we can improve our work
especially if we have missed out on significant information that may be relevant to our topic.

We look forward to hearing from you.
