The goal of this project is to audit the placement of the four pallet pod that promotes the pain solution
products featured within this manual.

Event Instructions

1. Print 2 copies of this manual and read the survey questions on the last page of this manual. Make note of the
answers you will need to provide in the “SurveyOnly” mPlan associated with this project.
2. Audit for location of the Pain Solutions POD.
• The POD should be located in the HBA area of your club
3. If the POD has been placed make note of each item and capture a photo.
• Note-there should be multiple items featured and they may not all be on the POD as instructed. Be sure to
carefully audit what is on the POD Feature and report accurately.
• Note-You will need to make note of specific location for any items that are not on the featured POD. For
example: If the item is in the steel, please make note and capture a photo. If the item is in-line, make note
and capture a photo.
4. If the POD has not been placed, give one copy of pages 2-3 to the Club Manager and the other copy to the Assistant
Manager to raise awareness of the “PAIN SOLUTIONS-RELIEF OVER PAIN” program and make note of the following:
• First Name, Last Name, and Job Title of who you spoke with
• Do they intend on allowing the PODS to be placed as shown on pages 2-3?
• If no –Why not?
5. Inform Management that this campaign is being supported through Sam’s Corporate and all results will be shared
among multiple parties to include the Sam’s Corporate team.
Operators,

Based off the success of last year’s Pain Solutions Event we have decided to continue
the momentum and emphasize pain health again beginning November 28th, 2018 with
an in-club solution’s event.

We will launch this program beginning November 28th – December 31st with an on-
floor POD featuring Aleve Brands, Biofreeze, Children’s Motrin, and Children’s Tylenol.
The purpose will be to drive pain health solutions, add incremental purchases to the
member’s basket, provide member value, and deliver ongoing price leadership.

ALL clubs will receive the four (4) pallets to construct the POD. The solution’s event will
use key promotional tactics such as the utilization of ecommerce through
samsclub.com, awareness through various digital components, and demonstrate
member value through the Nov. 30th – Dec. 24th ISB on all above items with $3 OFF.

Again, every Sam’s Club will receive the four (4) pallets needed to build the POD. Please
make sure you execute this POD feature in your club. Past solution events have shown
significantly higher sales results in the clubs that execute the POD features than those
that don’t. Post event analysis will include audits that measure POD feature compliance.
The supplier-partners have provided a significant spend behind this initiative so please
show your support for the Sam’s Club members.

for the creative concept.
