TRAINING DESIGN
I. Rationale
Nowadays, people are worrying about sudden weather changes, rise of temperature especially
in tropical areas and even a single inch of rise of water level worldwide. These concerns about Climate
Change and Global Warming are the inspirations of the 1st School Based Environmental Camp to be
conducted on November 22-24, 2013 at Lagao National High School Annex with the theme “ Reducing
Our Carbon Footprint”. This activity is in line with the DepEd Order No. 52, s. 2011 entitled
“Strengthening Environmental Education in Public and Private Schools” to lead students’ environmental
programs, projects, activities and advocacies in schools; and DepEd Order No. 93, s. 2011 entitled
“Mandated Programs, Projects and Activities, Various Forms, and Targets Pertinent to the Youth for
Environment in Schools Program” and LNHS Annex Calendar of Annual Proposed Activities 2013-2014
for the Month of October.
