Philippine Literature
It is the transitional period in Philippine Literature from the American Style to the
Modern Style
Filipinos, at this time, learned how to express themselves more confidently.
Writers during the post-war years were inspired by American school and college
teachers, and were able to borrow their techniques, achieving greater mastery in the
English language.
During this period, Filipinos began teaching Philippine literature as a subject at college
level.
This period is a productive time for Philippine authors.
