Introduction
The Birthmark

the theory of feminism was born because of gender inequality between women and men, as in the
story of birthmarks. In this story, the theory of feminism appears to determine how to harmonize men and
women experienced by Aylmer and Georgiana. Often oppression is experienced by women because they
are considered weaker. In this story patriarchal uses certain facts about the physiology of a woman who
builds a series of identities and behaviors carried out to deceive Georgina on the other hand weakens
Alymer.
The purpose of this theoretical basis is about the oppression of women, revealing important
values of individuals. Feminists explain the experiences that have been asked by Alymer. Further
explanation of the essence of the story of this movement is awareness, injustice, therefore feminism
requires women's independence not to depend on men. Even though the goal of Alymer is good at
eliminating birthmarks that are owned by Georgia but she knows that the decision that alymer takes is
wrong. Georgia just wants to make her husband happy with what he wants. Georgia died also due to
alymer dissatisfaction.

Theoritical Background

I analyzed that Alymer and Georgina started from sweet love turned into a nightmare when
Alymer became obsessed with removing a small birthmark under Georgina's cheeks. She was clean hard
that it was the only thing that prevented being beautiful. this story I raised the theory of feminism in
which the organized movement experienced by women in this story. This focuses on the cause and
explanation of the position of women under a man.
In this story patriarchal uses certain facts about the physiology of women building a series of
identities and behaviors carried out to deceive Georgina on the other hand weakens Alymer. The feminism
moment have impact for many different cause.

Analysis Short Story

In this story Alymer is a scientist who lives and breathes "Philosophy of nature" he is married to a
cantina girl who has a cheek birthmark. When this story continues, Alymer becomes unnaturally obsessed
with a birthmark in Georgia. And wants to remove the marks .
"Georgina," he said, "have you ever considered that mark upon your cheek might be removed?
From the sentence above I think that there is a physical improvement of his wife here which can be called
gender equality.
From this sentence I can analyze where a husband wants the birthmark to be erased, linked to the
theory of modern feminism. This feminism avoids the term that implies the existence of a unity which
limits differences. They refuse to develop a comprehensive explanation and solution regarding the
operation of women. this avoids a big problem, but this rejection also enriches plurality within feminism.
So the view is that all people must receive equal and not discriminated treatment Wherein the story tells
that Georgina initially refused to remove the scar, and in the end one day Georgia agreed to what
Alymer's husband planned to release the birthmark by making his own concoction.
"One another face it might". Answered her husband. "But not on yours. No Dear, the nature made ypu is
so perfect that this is a small defect of being a sign of earthly imperfections."
"Shocks you". Look for georgina, deeply hurt. The face redden and she burst into tears. "Then why did
you marry me? Ypu you can't love your shocks! ". From here it belongs to the category of modern
thought which has basic assumptions that cannot be contested and women will be oppressed. So Georgina
finally agrees if the birthmark is removed by her husband by drinking the ingredients that have been given
and the wife will surrender to it all.that is, too.

Conclusion

One important point that I got in the story of "The Birthmark" was that Aylmer didn't realize how lucky
he was to have Georgiana, and that he was guilty of ruining everything. And feminism is not only for
women. men because haya changes involve women will not move much, and still many assume boys are
more valuable than girls, Therefore we can take lessons from the story above feminism not only for
women.
