“C264 Mode error while clicking search computers in CMT - DS Agile 5.

If a BCU(no cyber security version) is in boot mode & you want to boot install in DS Agile 5.1 Cyber
security version, then you get an error as “C264 Mode error” & you will not be able to select the BCU.

To remove this error, you need to update bootrom.flh file as per below steps.

Install both 5.0 & 5.1 version on same PC/Laptop by changing the default installation path (see images
below)

01. Install CMT 5.0 Version as per default path available in Setup.
02. Now Install CMT 5.1 Version & change the default destination location & start menu folder from
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Alstom\DCS\Computer\” to
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Alstom\DCS1\Computer\”
(see images below).
03. Now to update bootrom Run CMT 5.0 Version & change the default path from
“C:/Program Files (x86)/Alstom/DCS/Computer/C264_cpu3/bootrom.flh” to
“C:/Program Files (x86)/Alstom/DCS1/Computer/C264_cpu3/bootrom.flh”.
Now click Update bootrom.

04. The above step will remove the “C264 Mode error” & now you can run CMT 5.1 Version, select
the BCU. It will ask for login & password.
05. Enter the following login & password.

Login: C264Root
Password: psw@C264-1.0

06. After login, if cyber security is not required the follow below steps before boot install
a. Select “Security”, click Administration, by default policy will be selected you have to
uncheck all.
 Uncheck these &
click Submit

After submit below message appears.

b. Now you can create new user for easy login & password if required as per below image.
 1-Click create new account; 2-
wirte the login & password as per
.; 3-then click submit

c. Now using the new login/password “aaaa”, start bootinstall.

 Once boot install finished, select parameters, change from Network boot to Flash boot, then
click set boot parameter & get boot parameter & reboot computer. After reboot it will
resume in Maintenance mode & BCU is ready for DB download.
