For the report: BROKEN FAMILY
Family is the basic unit of group that forms a society. It is the blood
and bones that make up a nation. W ithout it, there can never be that
changing force that makes up the entirety of all things in our world.
Family can sometimes be really complicated, unconventional, and
distant. However, this unit in the society is where we actually got our
morals, values, and nurtured us to become the person we are right now.
Now, what could possibly be the reason why families break apart?
I can cite a few answers to it but the real question here is that, how can
we address the growing statistics of broken families in the Philippines?
W e Filipinos are taught and raised from a Christian culture. Yet, we seem
to be taking marriage for granted when we are supposed to acknowledge
its sacredness. Some men and women prefer to live together and bear a
child before wedlock and thus ending with a greater risk of falling apart
leaving the children broken from the circumstances they never a sked for.
Additionally, these children who are left behind after the family
breaks apart often suffer from other complexities in life. The statistics
from the Philippines shows the growing numbers of children involved in
crimes and illegal drugs. Now this isn’t new to this scenario, I believe
this is common to all broken families in the entire world.
