Topic: Possessive Noun

A. Learning Objectives:
1. Define possessive noun
2. Demonstrate how to write a single and plural possessive noun
3. Use possessive nouns in a poem correctly

B. Learning Opportunities
1. Reading Selection: Story: Words in Our Hands. Answer the questions related to the orally.
2. Teach the students how to write a summary of the story that they have read. Then let the students
write the summary of the story: Words in Our Hands.
3. Put possessive noun phrases on the board. Let the student read it and ask them about the
similarities of the phrases.
4. Present the video about possessive noun. Let them give the points that they have understand on
the video. Discuss it one by one. Emphasize the meaning of possessive noun, the use of it and how to
form the possessive form of nouns.
5. Show pictures and let them create a possessive noun phrase using each picture. The pupils will
write it on a piece of paper that the teacher have given to them then fold it. Put the folded papers in
a small box and let them pick one. They will create a sentence using the phrases that they picked.
6. Give phrases and let them form the possessive form of it.
7. Group activity: Write a short poem about anything. Make sure that it contains possessive nouns.
Present their poem in front of the class.

 Day 1
1. Introduce the vocabulary words or spelling words.
2. Reading Selection: Story: Words in Our Hands. Answer the questions related to the orally.
