Resumen
Abstract
In this project we try to determinate and demonstrate that blueberries have regulatory
properties of blood glucose, we did a series of experiments that include drinking of large
amounts of sugar to raise up blood glucose and observing how it is reduced with the
eating of berries. We had the collaboration of 4 students, they were submitted to three
days of analysis; On the first day, basal samples were taken to know the regular
functioning of their organisms. On day two the samples were taken after the intake of
Coca-Cola and it was observed how the organism handled this amount of sugar. On the
last day, the participants consumed Coca-Cola accompanied by blueberries and, again,
they analyzed the blood samples with the glucometer. After these three days of
experimentation and after discussing the data, we conclude that blueberries have the
capacity to regulate blood glucose.
