User Interface Update Launched for
GSPN
By Joseph Ferro, Field Business Trainer
Attention Servicers! To provide a quicker, more efficient way of browsing and editing your service
orders, Samsung has launched GSPN S/O Light on GSPN. This update to the existing GSPN website
(www.gspn3.samsungcsportal.com) features a new interface in two sections of GSPN: Service Order
Management and Service Order Detail Information. This interface is designed to make it easier to
navigate through service tickets.
The Service Order Management screen has two main changes:
1. After a bulk search (1), the ticket number is hyperlinked. Clicking this ticket number (2) allows you
to view the ticket details, but you will not be able to edit.
2. An edit button (3) appears next to the ticket number. Clicking the edit button allows you to make
adjustments to the ticket.
In the Service Order Detail Information section, each section is now a on separate tab. The old
layout had each section as a separate bar that you could expand/collapse. In addition:
1. General Customer Information appears without the need to click a tab.
2. Service information also appears in the same fashion.
3. You can select each tab to edit the necessary information.
The new layout aims to provide an easy to navigate, user-friendly format that will help you manage
your calls more efficiently. As always, if you have any questions regarding GSPN as you are trying to
edit tickets, please contact the Field Service Support line at 888-341-2561.
In our ongoing effort to support our service network more efficiently and reduce REDOs and LTP, and
also increase FTF, Tech Support introduces the Visual Pack Solution App. Through your smart phone,
Tech Support will now be able to see what you - the technician - sees while at a customer’s home.
Tech Support will be able to troubleshoot video related issues and approve or reject panels if needed
on the spot. If a unit needs to be exchanged, you can show us why. This is also a good tool for
situations where a tech has a hard time describing the problem or wants us to hear the problem.
Tech Support will send an SMS to download the App if needed and start the live video streaming
diagnosis.
All Tech Support agents will have Visual Pack capabilities starting March 10, 2014.

and UHD TVs this year.
Given the tremendous media and industry reception for these new products, we are excited to bring
our 105” Curved UHD TV and 85” Bendable UHD TV to consumers around the world,” said HS Kim,
executive vice president of the visual display business at Samsung Electronics. “People who are

Samsung’s 105” U9500 Curved UHD TV is the world’s first and largest Curved UHD TV. The set
features an expansive display, curved design and is the largest TV ever with a movie-theater aspect
ratio of 21 x 9 to create a truly cinematic viewing experience in the living room. From 4K content, to
Full HD and HD sources, everything will look better on this TV which boasts unmatched resolution. The
combination of the screen size and Samsung’s Auto Depth Enhancer technology brings amazing depth
to the picture and produces a life-like viewing experience.

latest UHD standards, as well as to get access to the newest technology Samsung has to offer, all
helping customers protect their investment for many years to come.

Symptom: Connected Denon receiver power cycles many times when the TV is turned on.
Affected TV Models: 2013 Samsung TVs with MBR (IR Blaster) function.
Description:
The Denon receiver is connected to the TV via HDMI and the TV is configured to control the receiver
via MBR (IR Blaster).
The receiver has HDMI control on by default which allows it to turn on when it detects an active HDMI
connection. When the TV turns on, it also sends a power command via the IR blaster to the receiver
causing it to power cycle. The receiver cycles on and off as it receives alternating commands from the
HDMI connection and the IR blaster.
1. Make sure “TV Synced Power” is checked for the receiver in the Universal Remote Setup. Go to
Menu > System > Device Manager > Universal Remote Setup. You can also press the Source
button on the remote, then look in upper right hand corner of TV screen and select Universal
Remote Setup.
2. Select the receiver, and then press Enter. Select “Synced TV Power” from the popup menu, and
then make sure HTS Denon is checked.
