MILITARY COURTESY AND DISCIPLINE

(Lesson Plan)

A. ADMINISTRATIVE DATA:
1. TITLE: Military Courtesy and Discipline
2. OBJECTIVES:
a. COURSE OBJECTIVE: To graduate Candidate Soldiers (CS)
who are disciplined; adept in military doctrines, policies, SOPs and procedures;
skilled in basic weapon and war materiel operations; and resolute Army TTPs
practitioner.
b. TRAINING OBECTIVE: To provide the students a basic doctrinal
foundation to become soldiers of the Philippine Army.
c. LESSON OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of the lesson, the
students to:
1) Cite and explain the importance of military courtesy and
discipline to the individua, unit, organization and accomplishment of mission.
2) State and discuss the provisions governing salute,
courtesy to the national flag, proper conduct towards officers and senior NCOs,
general courtesy and discipline and military taboos.
3) Practice military courtesy and discipline in all
occasions/situations in their day-to-day activities.
3. INSTRUCTOR/S’ TASK:
a. Thoroughly study the subject matter, review and update
outdated data caused by some new developments/changes, and inject necessary
related learning and update the students’ handout.
b. Discuss to the students the lesson contents in the handouts and
emphasize salient points, particularly the importance and the adverse effect of the
absence of military courtesy and discipline to an individual, to the group and to the
organization.
c. Ensure that upon completion of the lesson, the lesson objectives
were achieved.
d. Review the sample questionnaire and prepare the final
questionnaire.
4. STANDARD:
a. The students must get at least 70% average grade from the
examination.
b. Students can satisfactorily answer the random questioning to be
conducted by the training evaluators.
c. Students consistently and religiously practice military courtesy
and discipline in all occasions/situations in their day-to-day activities.
5. STUDENTS: Candidate Soldier (CS) of the Philippine Army

Part IV – Summary/ Summarize the lesson emphasizing the
Consolidation importance of military courtesy and
discipline to the individual, unit and in
the accomplishment of mission.
Part V – Test and Evaluation Conduct written examination
emphasizing the lesson objectives.
