“Protein Extract from the Ipil-ipil Plant as a Component of Sensitizer.” A protein


extract from the leaves of the ipil-ipil plant was used as a component of a chemical
used in lithography and printing. This science research project won 2 national
awards.

b. Pharmacology - Group Research. The Effects of Mega- doses of Vitamin E on


the Length of the Diestrus Stage and the Histological Features of Female
ReproductiveOrgans of Albino Rats.”-

c. Family and Community Health - Group Research. Survey on the prevalence of


Schistosomiasis cases on families without sanitary toilet versus families with
sanitary toilet situated at the endemic areas of Municipality of Palo, Leyte

3) Master in Community Health Care Management Dissertation,

Leaders for Health Project, Ateneo Graduate School of Business.

- Entitled “Effects of Health Devolution on the Performance of the Health Personnel at


the Local Government Unit”, this dissertation discussed the behavior, factors
affecting the motivation and performance of the health workers in the Province of
Samar; reviewed the current implementation of the devolution laws and policies

governing health workers particularly the diminution of their benefits that affected
their enthusiasm in performing their functions. Discussed the results and findings to
the local legislator; and proposed changes and revision on the implementation of
Devolution to the health personnel.
